Kara's version will obviously have more emotion seeing as she co wrote the song, but both do a brilliant job of the song. Personally i think Kara's is better, she just interprets the lyrics on a much deeper level.

you have to realize that Karas version was live and faith hills was done in the studio with many takes and probably some autotune. most of your favorite musicians use autotune on live performances too such as kenny chesney. im not hating on faith hill shes amazing, but i work with kara and she is breath takingly amazing at singing.

Karas version fits her, she strains on the high notes but her powerful voice makes up for that, faiths version fits her because she hits every note wonderfully and she has emotion too, just not as much as kara

Faith HIll's verson is very pretty & laid out very nice. Kara's verson is more raw & heartfelt she makes you feel every word. I have never even heard of her before Idol, but now I am going to make a point to look up her songs & listen to her as well as find her music through the many great voices that have sang her songs.
