  • thats a little problem i like your games but mostly you did not add background it gets a little boring like that no texture no colors think of yvar the creator think how his games famous cause of back ground you could make 3d levels not just some grey back ground with black floors

  • @haxtheicehog You've never worked on a game project, have you? This is a demonstration of the core engine. Background graphics are extraneous and shouldn't be added in until work on level construction is well underway. The map seen here, I presume, is solely for testing purposes and thus the aforementioned element is definitely not necessary.

  • Wow I love the engine, I have a few suggestions but I just hope you're happy to read it anyway.

    -Maybe you can allow a slight zoom-out on the camera depending on your speed so you can see what is ahead of you.

    -Motion Blur? Maybe

    -I guess the you lack sprites animations for some, or maybe you haven't changed it yet

    -2P Racing mode? lol haha

    I guess that's all I can think off right now

    1: This zoom isn't possible to do in MMF2 :/ just in GM.

    2: I wasn't thinking in put this feature in Sonic Phoenix. But I'll think about it. I promise.

    3: Don't see too much problem with the sprites :D

  • Awsome engine btw! It's very smooth, and I love the boost effect! I love how Sonic gets super fast, and the homing attack is epic! Is this your engine? Were did you get the misc. sprites and sound effects?

  • excellent, now you just need to replace the advance sprites with some custom gens style sprites. An engine as unique as this shouldn't be wasted with the crappy advance sprites (not that they were bad, advance had some good sprites but they don't look right in fan games)

  • Oh guy, I don't think so. The advance sprites are SO variable and can be used in ALMOST ALL circumstances. (take a look at the Release 315 video to see its useful finallity).

  • YEP! I was testing it weeks later. But there's a little problem... You must learn to play, this game has 3 (or 4) action buttons instead of 2 (I've put the Homming Attack key out of the Jump key. I'm almost sure that the 2nd and 3rd buttons are for ground-relationed attacks and speed-relationed attacks, respectively.)

  • good! It needs a bit more polish but over all it does look like it plays like Sonic Unleashed (at least the Wii version). You might want to decrease the size of the smokes sprite and definitely  put it closer to the ground. He kind of looks like he's farting.
