Yes!!!!! Mark was the best character to play because he ran the fastest and jumped the highest. I remember George and Debbie being the two slowpokes who could barely jump over a fence! Of course, if you had Game Genie, everyone had equal ability! I was seriously addicted to this game. Before I knew it I knew all the shortcuts and how to get the pitchfork and I'd be kicking Jason's ass!!

Just going to leave a helpful hint for you, when you go into a small cabin you can hit select and it will allow you to go to another kid so you can fight jason with that said kid that is being attack. Instead of walking all the way there with someone else.

I remember that you have to kill Jason 2 time with the fire torch(you get it on the forest cabin were you defeated Jason's mother flying head) and third and last time with the pick fork (same enemy but a really tough monster to beat)...also try to keep Mark alive, he's the only counselor that can match Jason on 3rd round...

Well, lighting the fireplaces serves to have the torchlight so you can find where is the place to confront Mrs Voorhes. And you're right for the small cabin trick but I prefer running. It's more chalenging.

Actually, from what I heard and read the lighting the fireplace creates a sort of safe haven, and Jason can't get into cabins with lit fireplaces. I don't know why he can't though...

The reason behind lighting the fireplaces was to acquire the Torch, the most powerful weapon the game. Light all fireplaces with the same character and follow the notes will lead you to it.

The thing I never understood is what does lighting the fire places do?

In all of the large cabins, lighting the fireplaces will get you a torch. The second best weapon in the game, right after the pitchfork. Once you light all fireplaces, go into one of the large cabins by the lake and you should get a torch which is usually near the door.

Also, you get a flashlight which lets you see the hidden pathways in the cave. I think it's a pretty useless item since there is a trick to seeing the hidden pathways in the cave.

Well, yes, the pitchfork is as powerful as the torch but it is more efficient to use because it wipes out all the zombies on the screen which the torch cannot do. Plus, the torch is a little slower to use.

Whenever your friends are in trouble, go into any small cabin and select the friend who is in trouble. No need to walk all the way to the cabin :)

Not really. The sweater reduces damages against Jason and the flashlight is useful for finding Mrs Voorhess's head.

There is a trick for finding Mrs Voorhees' without using the flashlight though. You just have to look at the two oddly shaped rocks in the cave with indicates the door to Mrs. Voorhees' lair. You're right about the sweater, but I hardly ever use it though.

Thank god, finally someone on Youtube who actually knows how to play this game. It irks me when people don't have patience to play this game(which is not really a hard game at all). If you look at some of the videos of people playing this game, they don't dodge when they fight Jason in the cabin. They also don't CROUCH down and throw rocks at zombies.
