...... if you want to hear more check out Mitchell on the live version of FIRE ,it's even better than the studio version if you can believe that......ENJOY!
@cgcgce Couldn't have said it better myself! Mitch never gets the credit he deserves for being a master drummer! He and Ginger Baker were the 2 who brought heavy jazz influenced drumming to rock...Mitch is in my Top 5 Fave all time drummers for sure! R.I.P. Mitch!!!
@KevoBlues88 Couldn't agree more. I've listened to it a couple hundred times since 92 and it is just foolish guitar playing. Nobody could even dream of playing like this.
Alexamander is off his meds again... This is definitely Hendrix, with out a doubt. Only one man can manipulate his guitar in this manner, and that was Jimi. RIP.
Vantastic out standing and when you listen, you feel jimi hendrix experience come alive . can you dig it best live BBC recording I think he ever played Dude that was live

This is not Hendrix. Nice try but not even close. Anyone who loves Hendrix can tell it isn't Hendrix. Why waste our time? You think you can play guitar? You're not even close.
This 'song' truely demonstrates Jimi's untouchable and unique genius. More than 4,5 minutes consisting of basically one guitar sole connected together with a constant improvisation full of unearthly emotion, soul and energy. Nothing compares to this and I doubt anything ever will.
A truly amazing performance. Hendrix starts with a tasteful theme statement and gradually builds heat. From 2:00 to 2:40 it gets feverish, launching into the chord-change section at 2:45. After a 4-bar drum fill at 3:00, Hendrix and Mitchell feed off each other. Blazing drum lick at 3:12. Note the "3rd Stone from the Sun" quote at 4:02! Thanks, Peter
@sdrayton0307 Can't say I disagree when you put it into context. I suppose what I would add is that for pure enjoyment I think SRV just edges this, but you're right Hendrix is the best there's ever been
@xyloplax - Probably my favourite Hendrix lick. The intro is especially amazing. I've been able to imitate quite a lot of his stuff, but this ...FORGET IT!!! Wonderful genius that no-one to this day can get even close to. Great loss. It is having the exact affect on me as you described, as I write this ; )
@xyloplax Well put!! I get the same reaction from this ,every time !! I have been a super fanatic for Jimi since I first saw him in Dallas in 1967. Though I have
about 20 albums by him and equal in cd's and tapes, I hadn't heard this till Radio One came out. It is too fantastic for words so I will shut up and let Jimi play it again.
@seivad9 there is a big difference, jimi made this in the mid 60's, i like stevie ray ,but he is not in the same building with jimi, in the 80's it was very easy to play with new tech,Jimi sounds better even after all this time, again i like stevie but pound for pound he is not near jimi on the Ax,
@codehendrix How do I find this feature on Media player.... Sorry not used that element of it before, do you mean it actuallly slows it down like a Digitech jam man type way.... ?
@vhfgtiuoiu yeah it slows the track down like half speed.... just right click the "play" arrow button.... the big one in the middle... and then choose "slow speed play" or something like that......... you could do that to learn songs in general......

Credit to Redding and Mitchell also. Especially Mitchell. High hats and aggression. Why the bloody hell didn't they put this out?
