  • @hyzeronhisrizer

...... if you want to hear more check out Mitchell on the live version of FIRE ,it's even better than the studio version if you can believe that......ENJOY!

  • and if Jimi did'nt blow your mind listen the drums, especially at .............2.10...2.14.............. FUCKIN MITCHELL WAS A BEAST

  • @cgcgce Couldn't have said it better myself! Mitch never gets the credit he deserves for being a master drummer! He and Ginger Baker were the 2 who brought heavy jazz influenced drumming to rock...Mitch is in my Top 5 Fave all time drummers for sure! R.I.P. Mitch!!!

  • I have this poster in my room :)

  • Jimi, you gave us so much. Rest in Peace, brother.

  • Seriously, someone dislikes this?

  • @KevoBlues88 Couldn't agree more. I've listened to it a couple hundred times since 92 and it is just foolish guitar playing. Nobody could even dream of playing like this.

  • Credit to Redding and Mitchell also. Especially Mitchell. High hats and aggression. Why the bloody hell didn't they put this out?

  • Alexamander is off his meds again... This is definitely Hendrix, with out a doubt. Only one man can manipulate his guitar in this manner, and that was Jimi. RIP.

  • Excellent Version For Sure !!!

  • The most inspired guitar solo I've ever heard

  • Yeah, what is Alexamander talking about? This version has been around for a very long time

  • Alaxamander is a toool

  • Vantastic out standing and when you listen, you feel jimi hendrix experience come alive . can you dig it best live BBC recording I think he ever played Dude that was live

  • @Alaxamander it is Hendrix I was eight when he died and this bootleg was already in circulation then on open reel!

  • @Alaxamander SUCK A DICK COCKSUCKER,you troll PIECE OF SHIT.....

  • @Alaxamander >>> This is most definitely Hendrix <<<

  • @Alaxamander Idiot This is Jimi's BBC Sessions Album. Circa 1968

  • pure energy

  • So nice ...

  • HELLISH!!!

  • Drunk without drinking... No Whiskey required!

  • fuckin orgasmic baby!

  • who needs '5 hour energy' drink with this song? this is better than coffee!

  • Where is the next Jimi Hendrix? Still waiting after more than 40 years....

  • @PeteLayburn WORKING ON IT

  • Ahh ! That sweet sweet Stratocaster sound.

  • First Shredder .

  • My left ear really wants in on this jam!!!!

  • jajajajajaj wow hey ! how can he do that is amazing man amaiing! god forgive him

  • You can ride with him doing the driving here. Of all the Hendrix instrumentals, this one cruises to the max.

  • He was so far ahead of his time...they must of thought he was from Mars! Hendrix still sounds modern today!

  • One of my favourite songs EVER! "Radio One" is such a great album. The man was a GOD!! Pure and simple.

  • Best, intro, ever....

  • that distortion is like martial art with steroids

  • daaaaaaam!!!!!

  • This 'song' truely demonstrates Jimi's untouchable and unique genius. More than 4,5 minutes consisting of basically one guitar sole connected together with a constant improvisation full of unearthly emotion, soul and energy. Nothing compares to this and I doubt anything ever will.

  • check out the stone roses driving south. john squire is the only one who comes close to hendrix

  • 2:49 best part !!!

  • Mitch Mitchel fucking rocks in this one!!!

  • LOVE IT!!! there are 3 version of this song, yes, this one is my favorite

  • Thats the version of the three "Driving South" at this session I most like. By the way: each is great in his own way!!! :D

  • this is what hendrix was all about . Fuckin awesome stuff. Will there ever be his likes again ?? Nah

  • People who tried to 'dislike' this, died.

  • watch out Jimi there is a tree in the road

  • This is my neighbors' favorite song now, whether they like it or not.

  • @LeleMelo78 Lol hehe : )

  • SRV's version is pretty cool as well.

  • @OutbackAL as much as i rate him he can't compete with this Radio One version - this is sublime; SRVs is merely exceptional lol

  • awesome ! absolutley SAVAGE guitar playing . the intro always makes me think of early albert collins.

  • listen you fuckers, you screwheads, here is someone who would not take it anymore!

  • Whooooaaaaa !!!!! IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT.

  • A truly amazing performance. Hendrix starts with a tasteful theme statement and gradually builds heat. From 2:00 to 2:40 it gets feverish, launching into the chord-change section at 2:45. After a 4-bar drum fill at 3:00, Hendrix and Mitchell feed off each other. Blazing drum lick at 3:12. Note the "3rd Stone from the Sun" quote at 4:02! Thanks, Peter

  • @pholzer5 good analysis

  • @pholzer5 Honestly your comment made me appreciate this much more. Thanks :D

  • @sdrayton0307 Can't say I disagree when you put it into context. I suppose what I would add is that for pure enjoyment I think SRV just edges this, but you're right Hendrix is the best there's ever been

  • @seivad9 nobody edges this .

  • This never fails to send shivers down my spine and bring tears to my eyes. Perfect.

  • @xyloplax - Probably my favourite Hendrix lick. The intro is especially amazing. I've been able to imitate quite a lot of his stuff, but this ...FORGET IT!!! Wonderful genius that no-one to this day can get even close to. Great loss. It is having the exact affect on me as you described, as I write this ; )

  • @xyloplax Well put!! I get the same reaction from this ,every time !! I have been a super fanatic for Jimi since I first saw him in Dallas in 1967. Though I have

about 20 albums by him and equal in cd's and tapes, I hadn't heard this till Radio One came out. It is too fantastic for words so I will shut up and let Jimi play it again.

  • Young James certainly hits some natty notes during this creditable and toe-tapping performance.

  • This instrumental is the cure for stress, depression, and every other anxiety disorder.

    Wow!!

East St. Louis, IL loves Jimi Hendrix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is the cure for depression, stress, suicidal tendencies, paranoia. U name it!

    Man! What a rush!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not much between that and SRV's version. Both brilliant

  • @seivad9 there is a big difference, jimi made this in the mid 60's, i like stevie ray ,but he is not in the same building with jimi, in the 80's it was very easy to play with new tech,Jimi sounds better even after all this time, again i like stevie but pound for pound he is not near jimi on the Ax,

  • in the train and i was swinging on the spot to this awesome tune on my ipod, and ppl kept looking at me

haha, they just dont know what theyre missing! poor them! i just kept on moving!

  • jizz sound!!!

  • one of the best jimi grooves there is to fall into. the most fun to play

  • The best ever

  • All in an evening's work wasn't it Jimmi?

  • a being from another universe, the meaning of awe.........

  • I made a promise to myself that when I could play this it was time to move on to my next instrument. ERM, Still waiting,

  • @vhfgtiuoiu just study it phrase by phrase...... you can slow it down on media player too which helps.....

  • @codehendrix How do I find this feature on Media player.... Sorry not used that element of it before, do you mean it actuallly slows it down like a Digitech jam man type way.... ?

  • @vhfgtiuoiu yeah it slows the track down like half speed.... just right click the "play" arrow button.... the big one in the middle... and then choose "slow speed play" or something like that......... you could do that to learn songs in general......

  • @vhfgtiuoiu not that hard really...but yeah alot of work.

  • greatest jam ever. No one touches this.

  • @KevoBlues88

I touched it with my dick!

  • @KevoBlues88 srv did!

  • Killer!

  • Jimi is THE MAN..
