  • I almost cried.

  • a legend he still is

  • "I had to fight for every step to get there."

Literally. Remember when he presented at the Halberg awards and he shuffled across the stage? Pretty heartbreaking. Made my dad cry.

  • This is why for me he is the best player of all times!!

  • Ok Armstrong rides a bike when he gets tackled by 15 men while having kidney troubles it makes a bike seem so much easier

  • @LordReapr this is not a comparison. this is a great mans life story.. if you want to compare well then jonah lomu would beat armstrongs ass..

  • I thought Impossible was literally impossible until i heard about Jonah Lomu

  • everytime im worried or dont think i can succeed at something, i just think of "impossible is nothing", doesnt always work with sport but it definatly works mentally, lol helped me pass calculus for example

  • You are my inspiration, thanks, for people as you the world is better

  • this video brings tears to my eyes every time i watch it, !

  • You don't have to have to play rugby, or have a kidney transplant to get this message. Being the best you can be is a fantastic achievement for anybody.

  • how can u dislike this video imagine if this was u being told u had to spend the rest of your life not being able to walk.

  • A living example of "Never ever give up in Life".. I bow to you...

  • i agree

  • inspirational man

  • This man inspired me to play this wonderful sport. This man will never die since he will always live as a legend.

  • well said

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!, download movies for free mmmsearch[dot]com

  • this is my favorite "impossible is nothing" commercial !

  • n my favorite is from Kaka and Messi!

  • When I was 14 I had a major surgery on my knee and I was told by all the specialists that I would never play contact sport again... That my only available sports were either cycling or swimming.. I said no.. After months of intense training and rehab, I got my school 1st team debut (age 15) and now at 16 I'm playing competitive club rugby and first team rugby for my school.. This is the man who inspired me to pick up a rugby ball again.. Thank you Jonah, thank you =)

  • Your awesome :D

  • Jonah Lomu, sin duda uno de los grandes rugbystas de la historia, gran historia.

    saludos

  • bellisimo!!!!

  • this thing inspired me the most

  • I like that commercial!

  • SEI UN GRANDE, CAZZO!

  • Legend

  • Pr1ceisright,

this isnt the only phsyical set because messis one he had a physical problem aswell because when he was younger he had growing problems but yes this is a very insperational one =]

  • jonah lomu is an inspiration to ALL

  • jonah lomu! Gods Gift to RUGBY!!! and to sport

  • gods gift to earth

  • This is the best and most inspirational one, the others r just ppl over coming mental sets, Jonah over came both physical and mental problems.

  • @Pr1ceisright well said mate

  • @Pr1ceisright: Everybody battle is different. It's how you handle your battle is what set you apart and what uniqueness God has for you. It's up to you and only you to find out what it is. They should bring this back for all walks of life besides Sports, they're other job and occupations men and women had to overcome. And person Mental, Physical, and Emotional, well being is different. So each story is just as compelling to the next one. Even you have a story the world should hear.

  • @illisticusmc1 I never wanted to sound like overcoming a hurdle was a minor thing. SImply I thought over coming what Jonah did was say more inspiring than say Messi overcoming him being shorter than others (myself being short) or Arenas not getting playing time he deserved (something many can relate to). These things are not all that uncommon, but overcoming a kidney problems and getting out there again, that's inspiring. If he can overcome that, i can make up for being a short guy.

  • @Pr1ceisright word. you dont have a risk of dieing of ur a couple of inches shorter but there is a risk when you have kidney problems

  • @Pr1ceisright i agree with most of that except for messi. he was as tall as an 8 year old when he was 13 and had to use growth hormones to stimulate growth. hes still quite short, im 14 and ive met him. im about 5cm taller but hes such a great person its very depressing to know what hes been through

  • @Pr1ceisright no man .. the best is kaka

  • @ionrookie1 you said it Kaka is all Kaka buahahahahaha

  • @ionrookie1 Haha, you wish mate.

  • @Pr1ceisright totaly agreed...

  • @Pr1ceisright messi had a growth problem which he dealt with as child. no doubt he was bullied and laughed at and to overcome that in itself and get on with life is a great achievement but then to become one of the worlds best footballers is a miracle

  • sei d'esempio per tutti.

  • Jonah Lomu you are the best...respect for you

    IMPOSIBLE IS NOTHING

  • Wonderful those all vids makes me cry..

  • jonah you are THE BEST.... nobody could never be like you and nobody will ever be like you...

    YOU ARE JUST THE MAN

  • Some may context he was the greatest rugby player as he got some technical and tactical lack but he is certainly the most iconic rugby player ever.

In the rugby world made of strong bodybuilded warriors he was head and shoulder above all the other players.

He is the the true legend of this game. In the rugby hall of fame the #1 for sure.

  • Wallaby's fan here, bowing my head to the greatest! Keep fighting Jonah

  • omg the best rugby player ever man!....but its Impossible to stop u Lomu!

  • I am A South African and I think he is one of the best of all time.

  • he's a great idol, on the rugby pitch and off.

  • impossible is nothing???? mate it's impossible to stop you lomu

  • Samoan bread :)

  • He's of Tongan heritage - born and bred in Auckland New Zealand

    Jonah is the man!

  • fuck off

  • best rugby player ever! legend!

  • This is Man.

  • Sorry it's me being an arse and showing my age. He was a New Zealand rugby union player; Played the most notable part of his career on the wing and as an 18 stone guy able to run the 100m in about 10.8 he caused some havoc in his time. Whilst still, more or less, in his prime he suffered some serious kidney disorder and ended up with a transplant in 2004. Made a comeback of sorts and is ok in his post playing days, as far as I know;he was quite a terrifying sight in full flight.Worth looking at.

  • You are fucking joking?

  • no i'm not joking i don't know who is this. who is this again??

  • w..wha...can't you read, or what???

  • eat yourself

  • Google...

  • Fair play to him! :)

  • In fact just about everyone you see on the Allblacks that you think are Maori are actually Samoan or Tongan- but again it's the same- They are New Zealanders Maorian Country

  • quaserti ya he's Tongan - the last name is clear- but many Samoans and Tongans represent Maori, New Zealand, whatever- sall good same sh1t

  • <333333333333333333333

  • sei un campione.....ma sopratutto hai saputo combattere un grande problema....

  • grazie per tutte le traduzioni..bellissimi..

  • grande

  • He's really inspiring.

  • i believe his best was 10.3 sec in a 100m sprint

  • un campione.. un eroe

  • yeah. this is the real impossible is nothing ad.

everyone elses is just pure bitching about nothing lol

    he is a legend!

  • I agree that this is the true impsosible is nothing but there is and the lionel messi impossible is nothing

  • Player, Legend, hero

    ALL BLACK

  • Yea hes full tongan though...haha..So many NZ stars are polynesians..NZ should thank god for the polynesians that move there

  • the name of the song please?

  • I love NYE from About a boy soundtrack

  • Este deberia ser el verdadero espiritu de Impossible is Nothing, este hombre es un verdadero luchador...

  • This is the only REAL impossible is nothing ad. Lomu is truly incredible.

  • wat about kaka who couldnt walk wen he fracture his spine. now is one of the best footballer in the world

  • The best part is that in America we don't get to see this, for some inexplicable reason. We get to see Gilbert Arenas, basketball, bitch about how he was benched, or David Beckham, moron, bitch about how he missed a penalty kick and was roundly booed everywhere he went. Both make at least five times as much money than Jonah Lomu ever has.

  • Johna Lomu's story keeps me going whenever im down or think i havent got any more to give mentally or physically.

This god amongst us mere mortals outstrides all others as my one and only all time hero.

If i aspire to be a seventh of the man he is then i would be extatic.

In a way though i wouldn't settle for a seventh. His story has inspired me to never give up untill i am the best i can possibly become.

I can only hope more people will be inspired by his story for ever more...

  • Inspired me 2 play rugby

  • this is easily the best out of all the 'impossible is nothing' ad's

  • Jonah is a legend in rugby, and even more as a person.

  • could anyoun tell me what happened to him?the story why he was in a hospital??

  • His kidney was failing. He had to retire at age 22. He was already seen as the best rugby player of all time. He was told by the top kidney docter in the world he would never walk again in his life. Then in 3 years played for the cardiff dragons rugby club. He never played for the allblacks again. Read blood and thunder the unnofficial biography of jonah lomu. Great book explains a lot, Also he was offored contracts by the 49rs Giants and Cowboys. He would have been as famous as michael jordan.

  • I think retiring at age 22 is a bit of an exaggeration... seeing as he became all-time top RWC try scorer (and that he was 29)

  • yea mate he wasn't 22...and his biography is jonah lomu, my story...i have read that book 3 times and i have it signed by him in person he's an inspiration, he had a tough life but he pulled through. true champion.

  • wat about him cheatin on his wife...not so inspiring...hahaha...but hes full tongan right?..Id read his book if i could get it..He is in my perspective the "GREATEST EVER RUGBY PLAYER"...At 6'6" and could run a sub 10 secs 100M dash..Phenomenal

  • Lomu didn't run sub 10. Sub 11 though definitely..

  • no, he ran a 10.7 which was his fastest recorded i believe. sub 10 is like retarded fast, like olympic sprinter top 15 in the world fast.

  • hahaha..my bad..i meant sub 10 as above ten..But ten means below..I remember ...haha..i meant 10 + though..

  • i run the 100 in 10+, although i don't think 10 means below.

  • HEs full newzealander dumbass

  • u talkin about jonah lomu?..Hes tongan..Ur the dumbass..U must be one of those white kiwis..Lomu is tongan..And most of ur All blacks teams are samoan...Ur former captain Tana Umaga is samoan and i should know that because he is my uncle

  • 1st i aint fuking kiwi u dick head im italian. 2nd. y would he be tongan if he is in the NEW ZEALAND team 3. if tana umaga is ur uncle than ur one of those fuking kiwis. gayboy

  • well, u are very dumb then italian...Lomu plays for NZ because he was born and raise there..But he is full tongan u dimwit..Many polynesians live in NZ..Tana umaga is full samoan...they are all New Zealnders by citizenship but not by blood..so u are one dumb italian..and NZ team is made up mostly by samoans:Mils Mulaina, Ma'a Nonu, John Afoa, Keven Mealamu, John Schwalger, Rodney So'oialo, Ne'emia Tialata..Many former all blacks were samoan too..So just because u play for NZ doesnt mean ur a NZ

  • To be fair those players are NZ but as you say they are full Samoan - they can be both.

Being NZ doesnt mean you have to be European or Maori

Those players are Samoan New Zealanders

  • Lomu's not Samoan

  • he is tongan though...

  • Mate pretty much all them fellas you have named there were born in NZ what your arguement bro?

  • nicely said bro..lol

  • emm im not sure wat my coment was but i think lomu is awesome and so is tana. i think football is a really gay sport 2. so chill

  • fuck you testa di cazzo...

  • ma cosa vuoi?????????????

  • My hero that all i can say

  • I'm as stubborn as they come and got into an argument in a Ireland pub that Rugby players couldn't play in the NFL.

One told me to look up Johah and that he was a legend. My thoughts originally were if he were a legend I'd know about him.

Boy was I wrong. I love this guy and have never even seen him play live. Not only can he play in the NFL but his story makes me come back and watch some of these videos every few months.

Sorry Jonah. You are a LEGEND in my book now.

  • man hes considered rugby's best player ever...hes tongan too..haha...man polynesians are some athletic people...theyre taking over rugby and nfl...

  • Show the world what we NZers are about, Jonah.

  • Hero !

  • Damn That Kidney!

  • nice thts like kakas

  • ur tha man jonah

  • BIGGEST EVER all blacks legend.

  • one of a kind

  • I think is the best proof of inspiration, dedication and passion for a game and life...Long Live Jonah

  • the big boi makes nz proud

  • Quite right, a legend and an inspiration.

  • inspiration

  • amazing guy he can right backwards(hehe)

seriously though he is a great guy

  • that is all thank you to cardiff blues who set him up as the starter of his first game back

  • this is so inspiring...truely touching
