Vaneesa has nagged him and Nick is just a hopeless romantic who is still lonely and broken-hearted that he lost the woman he figured he would still be settled down with and married to today. Nick even admits he hates being lonely and single and Jessica just never learned to grow up and stop being so needy and jealous.
