  • nice grills

  • this is sick

  • good job!

  • watch?v=0qvvd3oiVeY

  • dude that is beast, id love to put those fans in the side of mine

  • dood i did this and my xbox overheats >:( and disconnects from live all the time >:(

  • @BananaBean03 I dont think thats your xbox more like your router or modem

  • The xbox slim has a vent in the same place LOl

  • @P2GearsOfWar

well the new models also the slim cant Rrod

  • I'm just gonna cut the mesh out from the back, and pull the mesh out from the bottom. No use in getting banned from LIVE because of added hardware that takes power from the console.

  • mmmm i bet its really quiet too, silent in fact.

  • lol nice mesh mod where did you get the mesh for the case.

  • @llROCKETMANll which is why the loud music in the video... lol

  • Omfg dust has a liitle to no effect on this..this acually blows out most of the dust..if those fans exhaust then this will stay cool as ICe cube lol

  • i bet that thing is loud as FUCKK. lol

but whtever it takes to keep that fucker cooled down.

im about to mod mine with another fan or two cuz mine gets pretty damn HOT!!

  • is the xbox heaps loud now brahh

  • doesn't that allow more dust and shit to get in there?

  • How you stick the mesh to the back of the xbox? I mean i already have the concept as yours but your mesh is inline with the window. Mine is just paste behind the holes, having a small gap .

  • Did u get the rrod

  • nice

  • they should make a liquid cooling in xbox and ps3

  • Can you please show a tutorial video of how to connect the additional fans to the xbox/power source

    thanks in advance

  • i changed it...google ..how to add a molex to xbox 360...i used the 12v source and removed the PSU

  • why should you have to do that when you buy xbox360 not worht it there shit i got ring death when it first came out when got ps3 had it for years no probs ps3 is the shiz

  • were do u get the mesh at?

and will they ban u on xbl for doing the 12v fan?....i added a switch for 5v just incase they do..

  • the mesh i cut off a mesh folder holder... school supplies walmart. you can get banned from live if you do the stock fans 12v mod. i didnt mod the stock fans.

  • no..

  • loool.

  • @XXAviatorXX

    you fucking retard

  • ahahahhahahah

  • @XXAviatorXX LOL no man you cant get banned for any hard mod

  • @XXAviatorXX LIVE has no way of knowing what you do to your xbox

  • @XXAviatorXX bets are no+ i dont think there banning as many people as they used cause there working in the xboxx 720 and thats a minor offence as opposed to pirated games

  • @XXAviatorXX that has to be the most retarded question ive seen in a while

  • How did you cut out the hole in your xbox??

  • dremel rotary tool

  • fake

  • wouldnt that make it more vulnurable to dust???

  • it would just clog up and get rrod but if he put an exhaust fan on the top it should stop it

  • ooohh i see thanks

  • ok

    subscribe to me

i will have a vid on soon about my custom xbox

  • @sillymonsterfromthe4 No, It Doesn't Really.

  • @sillymonsterfromthe4

Yeah but It can also be air blasted quite easilly too.

  • Where did you get the mesh side panel for the 360?

    That's perfect!

    -N

  • were did u get the molex wire

  • i cut it off an old PC fan I had laying around..try ebay for a molex extension cable should be ok

  • were did u get the mesh on the top of the 360 and how did u make it stick

  • Check out my other video

  • where did u get the fans, what kind, and how do u install them can i just get and old pc fan and solder the wires together

  • These fans a got off ebay...I believe they are Delta brand...the fans are now powered using the Molex method. Just google... how to add a molex to xbox 360.

  • so by adding that molex i can just add another fan from there

  • you could add a few fans from that power source that power source is the best place to get power to your fans...i dont recommend getting power from any other source on the motherboard. works like a charm.

  • fake probs, notice how u didnt see any gameplay

  • This video is not about game play but about cooling,

  • it doesnt seem to hard if you have the right tool, only problem is it prolly lets in a shit load of dust

  • i like the casing aswell tbh but were did you get the fans from.??

  • This setup has changed. I used the temp controller to test the temps and now i put it back in my PC. I also removed the two side fans and kept the fan inside which is the most important. So from this perspective the cost would be 8 dollars for fan and about 6 for the mesh and of course time...and believe it or not this thing is still RROD FREE

  • really clever

  • Nice setup

  • btw i might try this. makes the casing look better too imho. good job

  • Nice, clean mod..Won't hurt it thats for sure.

Still can't unfuck something. The xbox is just a bad design.Nothing will prevent the RROD unless you just never power the stupid thing up. Lets hope for a nice redesign from the division of Microsofts R&D dept. that didn't ride the short bus to school.

  • fuck is this

  • The things we have to do to keep from RRing... Fucks sake.. My 360 recently shit out and I tried fixing it to no avail.. So im gettin a few bad ones from my cousin to see if I can fix them... Would it be a good idea to set a fan to blow on the heatsinks, instead of fans that suck hot air out of the 360??

  • I think the rear fans blow the hot air out. So in keeping with PC design theories of air flow, having something at the side (or in this case, on top) sucking cool air in, should be a more efficient.

Best one I've seen yet is by a user called 'ekapsalis'. (Once he puts the rear fans back in)

  • that is quite the rig u got there

  • being that opens help with the overheating much like having the side of your computer case off

  • please tell me what gaes are worth all that, I say maybe fable and gears of war, thats about it

  • What?

  • We go through all this cause the Games are worth it.

have fun with your PS3, with no good games.

  • @anonforuz Ps3 has 3 good games to date. LOL. 360 has like 500?

  • @anonforuz i dont need to have fun with my ps3, i can just have fun with ur mom anytime i want too. just call her up and have fun with that whore! god u fanboys make me sick fucking no lifers

  • @amgl550 way to get trolled. hahaha I gotta work on my methods, that took 10 months. fail on my part.

  • @anonforuz man i just cant stand fanboys holly shit they are so gay. lol and yes u did get trolled @ a lil too hard that was harsh

  • Да такой Xbox точно не перегреется!

  • @FOX19900 zomgwtfbbq lol its a russian communist wtf r u doing here dude?

  • putting a mesh window doesn't actually help cooling :/

  • Y should you even have to do that get a ps3 damn

  • I have a PS3..It's collecting dust.

  • You should buy one of the many exclusives that are superior to the 360s. I have both systems btw.

  • like what exclusives are superior to 360? Im curious my friend has both systems and ive never seen these superior exclusives!

  • Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, soon to be Uncharted 2?

Halo 3 does not even compare to Killzone 2 so we can throw that out right now. Gears of War 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 are similar enough, but MGS4 has a better single player and a more consistent online game. BTW I play Gears 2 online almost every week night. The lag is horrible due to the lack of dedicated servers. Most of 360s games are mediocre.

  • halo 3 ownz kill, gtfo faggot ps3 fanboy.

  • halo and gears of war nuff said

  • I have both. Halo 3 is terrible and Gears of War 2 used to be good until they started patching it. It's gotten systematically worse to the point that it's not even worth playing anymore. I play Halo 2 more than 3.

  • so they patch up the mistakes they made...the same mistakes cheaters use to get by in life. and you cry about patches being fixed because they want the game played fairly? makes since that you suck without glitches noob..cry more

  • Uh I don't glitch. Cheaters are maybe a quarter of whats wrong with the game.

  • thats extreame mega super cooling man

  • Thanks for the mesh idea. I had the ring of death 2 times before I did the x clamp fix and the case mod. Check out my 360.

  • Very nice setup ChevySSDad..stick a 70mm fan inside and and channel the air flow towards the GPU and you got a freshly cooled xbox 360...good job

  • dialo ese xbox tiene aire acondicionado integrado no me jodas jajaja pero a ver no te joderia pq no llegaria suficiente corriente?

  • gota give it to you, thats some pretty good construction, how much did it all cost?

  • Xbox 360 is pretty awesome, but microsoft made the cooling on the console crap. I have a ps3 and I left it on for 48 hours on Oblivion. It never froze.

  • since i kind of don't like the ps3 but i have one i left it on. Its been about 3 weeks now and it still runs i played cod5 on it yesterday. ya its weird they say the ps3 can stay on for as log as a year without overheating problems.

  • play like only for 1hour-2hour and you'd be fine.

  • l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l

my ecksbawks h4s heat sink n falcon chip i accidently sometimes let it on for like a day cuz i fall asleep wen i plae @ nite n nothing happ3ns

  • u mean 1 to 2 hrs a day?

  • dud thats nice but if i was you i would just get whisper max fans and um a 90mm fan on the bottom and your set and it wouldn't even be that loud.

  • Funney thing is the new models of the xboxs don't get the red ring of death thats offten

  • that is pimp

  • dude thanks alot

    never knew about all this

  • u don't need that many fans the only reason u get red lights is because of the dust which blocks the air vents in the heat sink

  • The most important fan you need is the 70mm fan inside the case like in my video all the extra fans outside is not needed. the GPU chip needs direct cooling that is the most important for long life span.

  • dude you are a KING

but if i just cut that part on your xbox off mine and put a screen over will that work too.

  • how long can u play the xbox 360 without it overheating

  • it never overheats..

  • i've played mine/left it on (which produces just as much heat, even if it's not being used) and it's never overheated, and i don't have any mods.

  • about 5months to up to 3 year if don't play for like 14hours a day (and this is true my friend had his for 2 years)

  • cool lol

  • i still have mine with gates signature for being the top 100 buyers in nov '05

and its all fine, never had an error for anything

  • =D i do too i have number 63 off the line.

  • i see your xbox can play fake game can u still go on line if u get the chip but play on real games

  • wtf r u talking about

  • You don't buy a chip, you flash your drive, this is some what complicated if your a n00b :P haha, and yes if your games are stealth patched you can play online :D

    R.I.P Xbox 360 12/25/07-4/18/09

    You will be missed :'/

  • he sure will......Long Live the Xbox 360

  • is there a way to prevent disc read errors too?

  • any kind of fan or cooling system will not do anything theyre all ripoffs. 2 1/2 years, original console 2 inches clearence on ALL sides, almost touching the power chord and box and it gets played hard. the best thing u can do is dust it out once a month and just hope it doesnt happen

  • thats bullshit,if you add fan below the USB port it suck more air in

  • 200th comment. woot

  • is that mesh a good idea?

  • does it help with extra fan in? so you dont get the rrod.

  • overkill!!

  • did you cut into the metal face plate underneath the plastic case. or can you leave it of ?

  • i just riped it off

  • You dont need it

  • i removed it completely ..you dont need it

  • i suggest xbox users buy a cheap AC blower and put it next to the 360 that should solve ur problem :)

  • rofl that is pretty cool but you could just keep out dust and keep away from walls

  • thats cool man

i have 2 extra fans on the back of my xbox to pull air out of the back it works rather well to

    XD

  • This could be a good idea or a bad idea, I don't have a 360 but normaly it would be designed to pull air through the system thus keeping a constant air flow = cooler temperatures When you cut a hole in the case, you break the suction and it may not pull the air through vital areas such as the gpu.

    Bad idea!

  • The Temperature controller doesn't think it's a bad idea.

  • In other words your fan speed is less because of the vents causing even less airflow through the system?

  • that has to be loud

  • bro, what console version did you have? I have 60 gb version. Does it need custom cooling also?

  • this is 2006 model.you have the one with the upgraded GPU heatsink. It's a better model. you should always consider cooling on something that generates over 140 degrees of oven baking heat.

  • but wen you finally do get the rrod, they wont fix it because you cut a huge hole in the side of it. good luck

  • No need to worry about the red ring, I could fix that too. Ive done about a dozen red ring fixes so far and about ten successful flashed mods..no worry Im getting real good at this.

  • would yourecomend buying a 360? if so where and why

  • Well, the red ring of death is a huge con but if you keep your system cool it should never be a problem. It's UI is hard to use for me I prefer the XMB of the PS3. Just depends what you want are you looking at graphics for games? Or are you going to turn it into a multimedia machine? It mainly depends what you would use it MOSTLY for.

  • the rrod comes from the bottom of the unit.the 4 chips near the metal x,is. hope this helps

  • I wouldn't care if it's not portable or doesn't look good. You're amazing at modding xbox's.

  • looks like your 360 is officially pimped

  • what if you buy a cooling fan and it gets dust in it? can you clean it out? please advise!

  • dust does not do anything to the 360 i have had mine custom cut case and fan mounted on top of my xbox and it works fine it keeps everything so if your considering doing this dont wory about dust

  • Your xbox is like a PC just get compressed air and clean dust out, no biggy.

  • Nice Idea, Ill give you that much. I wouldn't have done that, because you will end up with a shit load of dust in your 360. Also, after a while you will end up having dust stuck to your mesh and it will look like crap. Not to mention that your 360 will be loud as F.uck. Two words; Fan Filters, use them next time. Nice try though.

  • I had red ring of death. But then after I started screaming I tried again and my xbox worked. LOL. I was cracking up afterwords.

  • its showing signs of failure..

  • i wouldnt risk the mesh coz of dust and whateva

  • how long can i play an xbox360 without getting the cooling fan?

  • where did u get that mesh thing????

i'm gonna prabably mod my 360 and put led and instead of putting plexi glass i'm gonna put that mesh ..

  • i used a mesh folder holder. they are at walmart in the school supply section. just google mesh folder holder you'll see.

  • hey man where did you get the box that tells the temperature of the system?

  • i recently removed the temp gauge. After I seen the difference i removed it. I found that the fans on the side weren't needed also so I removed them to. All you need is some type of mesh mod for fresh air and a 70mm fan just above the open mesh area.

  • thanks you for the info but where did you get the box that tells the temp?

  • ebay

  • would that be called a fan controller? thank you for your time by the way i appreciate it

  • I believe thats what it is temp/fan controller

  • Hi, I have removed the back metal grill of my 360 with a Dremel and I'm going to remove the plastic grill tomorrow. Do you think it will be much cooler if I get the XCM core cooler V2 and XCM high speed air cooler/talismoon whisper max? do you think I would still need the mesh?

  • it shouldnt hurt to have it

  • impressive... but still we got to do that to prevent our console from dying? :(

  • nice and loud just the way everybody doesnt like to hear there game

  • id rather have a loud alive xbox 360 then a quite dead one...It's still running strong

  • it's so loud we can't hear the music at all ;P

  • boi wtf!

  • Loosa good...except for the clunky power supply that you now have to rely on. Couldn't you tap into the 360's own power for your fans? I doubt it given how many you're running, but you could probably run one or 2 12v fans. The DVD drive has a 12v wire, as well as the USB port in the back. Splicing into either will give you useable 12v. I just don't know how many watts you can get before the 360's PSU craps out.

  • It's setup that way now...posted a new video on it.

  • shitbox3fixme

  • LOL. but still the 360 is uber pwn. it might mess up sometimes, but seriously, do you see another beast system like this anywhere where else? the PS3 is good but pricey (my parents dont care if its blu-ray) and the wii is pretty good, but i cant find any games with good replay value.

  • cool! looks like it is on life support

  • tbh i dont really care if its alitle noisy, i just wanna play my fuckin games!

  • Doesnt really prove it really does work but.. Probably...
