I had a cold and consequently, started hearing noises in my ear. I had an MRI, audio tests etc. My left ear noise is similar to :a boiler, an airplane engine when it is at a cruising speed and a refrigerator motor. All are dull pitched. I was treated with pill steroids for a month, intravenously for a week, and inhaling CO2 gas 5% as an inpatient. The ringing stopped. A month later, the noises have returned.
