My mom once went to Canadian tire to check out my car clock which ws not working. They said they will charge 90 bucks just to see it cuz they would have to open the entire dashboard. When my mom asked my opinion i just realize how they would lie to make money. I just had to remove 6 screws to open the speedometer frame and access the clock and replace it (97 camry).Even their oil changes are ripoffs. Those highschool dropouts could not even figure out where the oil pan bolt is in a toyota celica

@nofreedom4racists The service advisors dont have to know anything about a vehicle to work as an advisor they just go by what the book tells them. And the mechanics just do what they are told to do. At the store I work at non of them are high school dropouts though most are divorced 40 year olds with kids to look after.

@norma75 Ok, I believe you. But when I was in grade 10, the person who did my oil changes at Canadian Tire was a kid (~same in age). Can't tell if he was a dropout. I think you know the problem. Now I am a part time mechanic. Working according to the book is not always efficient. Especially during diagnosis when one thing can be interpreted differently.
