sharing a 12V line from the molex plug with a HDD is easy to do and each fan only takes like 3W to run... just connect the positive to the yellow wire (12V) and the negative to the ground (black wire)
i love the part where you plug it in and it WROKS... Dammit dude, please check your fucking spelling before you click "Apply" on the title editor.... goddam
I rather you not ever close the case of your cpu, its much easier cooling compared to your fan cooling which is like 3 fans running on 5 v which do not really cool your computer.
totally stupid.. if you close up that case all its going to do eventually is heat up the system by blowing hot air around, you need to vent it in with cool air and vent out the hot air, that amount of fan would be like sitting on an airport runway. what you did do was probably better for under cooling a laptop, just build one of those smaller fans into a piece of perspex and you got a laptop cooler that runs off the usb port....
hi i want to build something like this too, but im confused. How can one usb port have enough power to run those fans ?? Are those fans 5 volts each ? and usb has about 5 volts.... but you have 3 fans.... are they connected in series or paralell ?
also i have a 12 volt fan....if i wanted to connect it using 1 usb cord....will it work ??
i have a GREAT idea!why dont you you a MOLEX (like the guy below me was trying to say (12v) how stupid to you have to be?! what is this even gunna do?! just fill you case with dust? and you have to keep it open! wow. 1 Star.
@paiermen Taking into consideration that the IDE cable is used for transfering data leads us to the upseting fact that you're a technological illiterate...
Power pupply.... LOL

does the air going outside or inside?

I don't see any reason you couldn't just hook up those fans to the PSU... Most PSU's worth the cost will have plenty of power to power those fans.

its easy and simple ! i maded water cooler but nice made ,

this can destroy your mother board, a USB overload is easy to happen.
It's a better idea plug it directly on 12Vcc.

that's useless dude, why didn't you hooked them up to one 12v cable? they'd run faster and actually cool something

WTF? no, i meant the 12v cable coming from your power supply, duh...

@paiermen
Lol, not an IDE cable. He thinks on connecting the fans with the yellow and black wire who are coming from the power supply.
