  • oh goodness, he's wearing a sweater!!

  • It's like that sluggish, heavy, overbearing fuzziness was lifted from the 'studio' version of this song and we're left with a nice clean, gentle version

Not that I don't like the studio version, but it's great to here it in such a different style.

  • Icecream Floats and dreams makes me smile every time

  • Jeff is like the new Jesus. All you gotta do now is FIND the elusive gorgeous bastard <3

  • so cool and jesus and mary chain sounding!

  • There's no snow song part 2?

  • @sleepyat2am atually "Snow Song Part 1" became part 2 of "Rubby Bulbs"

the best example of this is the "Live at the Cat's Cradle" Bootleg

  • Absolutely great.

  • yea definitely need this full show

  • the version of this performance with clear audio quality is literally the best thing they've recorded. an amazing variation of a so-so song.

  • this sounds so different to the studio recording

  • I feel like they actually got high off of being excellent and artistic and knowledgeable and loving

    candy appled everything

  • @NmHman127Nugget

sometimes I am positive that certain people don't deserve their salaries based on their damaging music, but bands like this make me feel so peaceful and deserve all the money in the world

  • man i love bands who can jam out on two chords like at 2:20 sometimes thats all you need

  • @dsotm13 for real

  • This is the best version of this song ever recorded. And it's one of their best! Jeff Mangum is a genius. It's that simple!

  • Let the Saw rock the stage

  • k so this is honestly at least my 100th time listening to this and i still get chills

  • I love this song with every fiber of my being.

  • mellophone.. now that's an instrument you don't see in clubs very often

  • its official this is the music of love anything they do is so perfect its obvious that nothing beats them becuz all the fans desperately want them back.

  • probably the greatest single thing i've ever heard

  • what chords are these??

  • A D

then C A at the horn part

  • Wherever you are Jeff... you are still loved.

  • un-fuckin-describable

    would describe them perfectly

also a pleasant and more acoustic pearl jam

    yes thats good

also the best band to ever play anything live ever and right under the Beatles for song writting

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think that would even perfectly describe them!

  • id like to think thats jeff has had his share of potent danks..... yeah id like that

  • ... songs that have the "words" honky tonk... as well as chrome and mud trucks and ass and beer and america and bar and jeans and fighting and old people and that gay ass guitar twang'; thats in every song theres also horses and car racing and tobacco and country and love broken heart but you get the picture its rare to come across a acception actually i challnge you to find a country song without any of thoose words peace motha truckas!

  • I would agree with you more had you not said it such an ignorant way. And for God's sake, can we please use at least a little punctuation?

  • okay im actually a big fan of punctuation but i really didnt care at the time since it was a blog i just felt like i was writting that in a spot where nobody would see it and you were the only one so i was right i also had a bunch of spaces in certain spots to make it seem a bit less ignorant becuase i mean i don't mind country music too much unless im really sober but anyway i think NmH is the best band that was ever out there id place them in the beatles catagory

  • Sorry for coming off a bit hash then, mate. But really, have you any idea how impossible it can be to read something that hasn't a lick of punctuation? Either way, I think it was the comment about how country music fans should move to "somewhere like Ethiopia" that rubbed me the wrong way.

  • @NmHman127Nugget

Ever heard "Cold Hard Facts Of Life" By Porter Wagoner?

  • Neutral milk hotel has healed my soar ears and i believe has helped me recover from my many addictions also it's inspiried me to try my hardest at getting country music abolished seriously i actually think that anyone whos ever listened to country intentionally should just i dont even know be forced to move to texas or somwhere like ethiopia where they can learn and experiance the life that so many are suffering from instead of filling their ears with songs that allinclude..

  • does anyone know what chord he plays when he just goes Oooohh?

the rest is D and A as far as i can tell.

  • it's all D and A, and then C and A

    great song :)

  • thats so awesome. thanks man!

  • his sweaters... are so goddamn amazing.

  • not as good as julians

  • A COS-by sweat-ah!

  • sorry i hit thumbs down insted of thumbs up and idk how to fix it but that deserved a thumbs up
