actually its debatable, the ipod touch is essentially a different system. the nano is a mid range mp3 player and that's what it's best at however the ipod touch has a bit more flexiblity for people who require apps etc.

its so you can use different ipod with the dock

By the way, this nano was the shittiest nano in terms of the fucking shitty "build quality," or lack thereof. Other than the new features, i.e. video camera, radio tuner, etc.., it has completely fucking sucked. The fucking chinks can't build shit because their peapod assed eyes can't see shit.

the 5g nano fucking sucks. I have been through over 15 of them, and they have all fucking sucked. Every fucking one of them has had paint missing and/or chipped off of the bevels, or they have had paint discolouration or various anomalies. I may try again in like August, but until then, fuck that shit. I would rather save a few more dollars for the ipod touch 64gb.
