Im actually starting to doubt what Historians have written about Nero.

I think most have out of hate.

In my opinion Nero did some horrible things but in the big spectrum of things he did it for the sake of his Empire and Rome and I applaud him for that.

He killed Christians and Jews because they threatened the religious peace of Rome.

He entertained the Romans and they loved him for it.

The only ones who hated him were the rich and educated who had everything.

Saw this documentary a while ago on TV - good stuff. Michael Sheen plays one of the best (if not THE best) Nero I've seen so far (sorry, Sir Peter - no disrespect meant).
