to me this is better than MF Doom's or RZA's, both did it big, props to them, but Nas has the best cos his lyrics in this are powerful x100. the beat makes you really think about the picture he is painting with his lyrics.. america a hundred or so years ago in the time of minstrel shows.. before the civil rights movement.. I never really appreciated this until I learned more about the zip coon and jim crow era.. RZAs rhymes could be better than nas' but honestly Nas is 100x deeper

@ThumbsUpMike word. nothing is definite just bringing up possibilities. i dont believe any of these artists who are associated with occult smybols are actually in the so called "illuminati". if anything they are simply puppets. i tend to think it has to do with the Intelligence Community and psychological warfare. the CIA is satanic as hell and was founded by secret society types. Music is one of the most powerful tools of influence (especially on the youth) known to man.
music is a huge tool to blind the blind the youth to simply control our future!
i dont fear illuminati or the satanic agenda their trying to set, i fear that the people in our world would fall into the trap and allow this land of the blind to destroy itself......i can see it happening sooner than anyone thinks:/
@ThumbsUpMike it has already happened to somme degree...IMO we already live in a "satanic" or "luciferian" society straight up. people are so damn blind they chalk it up to paranoia or wild imagination even when the facts smack them in the face...its ridiculous. at this point the only battle that i think we can still win is the mental/spiritual battle. im not religious by any means and i dont know where i stand on the literal devil but i know evil exists and i believe in a higher power (God).
@ThumbsUpMike but im not waiting around for "Jesus" or anyone else to come save my ass..."God helps those who help themselves" its time people wake the fuck up and smell the bullshit. people are becoming more aware but not soon enough.
@ThumbsUpMike yea but we can always win the battle for our minds...unfortunately we are losing that one as well. its time to take back the power that WE give them. time to take back our own minds. "No matter how hard they try they can't stop us now"
There are actually militias comprised of caucasins who actually believe that the U.S. government will fall under the leadership of a half African man. THEY are essentially preparing for a race war. So THEY'RE in preparation....to all MY people...STAY prepared. OUR unification will be BEAUTIFUL, Black People. LIVE your words.

Nas did it again, I never knew who Willie Hutch was till sun said his name, i had to do some research nd found out I've been hearing his music in HipHop nd didn't know it. Willie Hutch great musician.
Oh I know, but the The whole Ready To Die thing by Biggie and then he has himself as a baby on the cover is ironic right. So hes Ready To Die but the baby represents new life which I found really cool. And Lil wayne sucks badly and hes ruining Hip-Hop so ya
The reason is because Nas came out before biggie and on Nas Illamtic Is the Picture of His younger self i later that year 1994 biggie came out and the picture on biggie album was a picture of his younger self so thats y.
@xBXRxAaron sorry did that by mistake but this club hits and love songs mean a lot to me itz like my whold life iz my Idol please don't make fun of it callin it corny every bodys our on person
I love this track!! one of my favourites of Nas' since Illmatic, deep thought-provoking lyrics in vintage Nas poetic delivery. Much better than RZA's version, the beat on this is better (even though same sample is used) and the lyrics/topic is better.. talking about how you made the 'come up' is a bit of a cliche like 'you don't wanna front on me', 'life is so f***ing hard'
im sorry but even thoughe white people have done so many unforgivable things if a african american or any either culture do anything because of hate towards someone cause there white is a racist
P.S im not white so dont say just coz im white blah blah i dont understad
@tsunamijin ty even though ive been thumbed down its good to see someone agrees with me and ied also like to say if they dont argree with me obviously they have to go play this album again and see nases true message ty again

Anim3fr3ak100 1 year ago
@Anim3fr3ak100 Nas didnt sell his soul....Nas is a freemason who was controlled by the evil of the industries ever since day one
But Nas fights back against it as much as he can without getting into trouble like tupac, michael jackson, and bob marley has!
Nas is stuck in between in the middle of illuminati/music industry and being against them
....he leans more towards going against them

I love this track!! one of my favourites of Nas' since Illmatic, deep thought-provoking lyrics in vintage Nas poetic delivery. Much better than RZA's version, the beat on this is better (even though same sample is used) and the lyrics/topic is better.. talking about how you made the 'come up' is a bit of a cliche like 'you don't wanna front on me', 'life is so f***ing hard'

Good song...
Imo it is pretty close-minded to say everyone has equal opportunity these days, well you can't blame those people living in their suburbian microcosm.
As an immigrant/non-caucasian I know i have to work my ass twice as hard just to get the same job etc. It's not reversed-racism its reality

I like Nas version the best it's more soulful plus I like the horn section he used he took it back to that day of real soul.
