I was using a specialized sirrus frame that I custom build adding areobars with custom double brake levers, and bar end shifters. The sirrus frame has a long steer tube giving a more upright right. I loved it, felt pretty comfy to me. Had brooks saddle I forget the model, but the one with the springs. Bike was heavy, but I liked the feel. Didn't care about weight, it rode smoothly...

What type of bike were you using. Last year we used Trek hybrids We did it but very painful.
