If a musician want to make money in this digital age we live in, they must make it through concerts or fan merchandise such as t-shirts. It's just the way things are... why is anyone going to pay for something when they can get it for free? If I sell grass, that would be pretty dumb, because people can pull out of the ground for free. If there's no market, there's no money. That's how a free-market should be. Donations, on the other hand, I would understand. Donate to the artists you like.

It's not people who download music who are raping artists, it is their record companies. Don't believe me? Look into why Radiohead gave out their album for free, why System of a Down TOLD fans to steal their album and wy Trent Reznor and many artists LEAVE their record labels.
