  • Excellent job!

  • How odl is this??

  • Brilliant work!

  • I love the audio dramas he does, but they really should've given him his own series.

  • well he only did a movie so shouldn't dat only count for one year

  • BIG FINISH THEME TUNE!! W000t! This is mad as man gratz!

  • Am I allowed 2 use this

  • Would you mind if I used this for my Paul McGann series?

    Jamie

  • 0.10 i thought it was an alien XD

  • I loved that movie so much. I heard Fox didn't give it enough publicity, though. What a waste.

  • hmmm tardis goes bungie jumping XD

  • i just did some calculations mcgann was the longest ever dr for 11 years

  • @matthewrobinsonsz Depends how you measure it. Have a look on my website - there's a page about which actors were the Doctor longest, depending on how you view it.

  • @themindrobber i kept adding 1 year to 1996-2005

  • @matthewrobinsonsz May 1996 to March 2005 is 8 years and 10 months. Not sure where you got 11 years from.

  • @themindrobber in theriry he was the doctor for a one off movie, he should have been asked back as the doctor when it returnd then it woul dhave been 8 years of him but we got chris instead :)

  • @matthewrobinsonsz doesnt really work though, since there was no doctor who productions made in that time. (without counting children in need specials and such)

  • @matthewrobinsonsz lol.. calculations

  • @matthewrobinsonsz He actually was on for 9 years. Were you ever taught math at school?

  • I got so sick of people using the Tom Baker star field formation for ersatz McGann titles! You effort is fab!!!

  • is it a ghost, is it a cloud no its paul mcgann and the music is good for a dark cloudy tunnel

  • it's ok, but the music sorta doesn't suit it.

  • was it deliberate to have a 40 in there, about 0:17 in?

  • you mean like 40 of OE? no, I think yer minds playin trix on ya

  • I feel sorry for McGann. He was meant to have a series but FOX and that movie screwed him over.

  • McGaan only does films anyway

  • I don't know if its just me, or does he remind some of you ALOT of the actor Alan Rickman?

  • Love McGann. Just seen the whole webcast episode Shada. Brilliant

  • oh get lost. and yes i did mean to be rude mcmahon hater

  • Youre forgetting that they're all THE DOCTOR. One man, its amazing how 2 dimensional you humans can be at times.

  • Anyone who disagrees with you is ignorant?

So your opinion is the only one that is fully informed and it is impossible that anyone ON EARTH who disagrees may do so for legitimate reasons. And any who do so are worthy of your condescension regardless of whatever stature or accomplishments they have in life?

This may comes as a shock but self-righteousness, arrogance and discourtesy stemming from them just make you look intolerant and bigoted.

As a mature person, you should know better.

  • As a mature person I do know better, and thats why I know Baker is the BEST Dr. Who ever. I am glad you see thing my way.

  • You do know the name of the character isn't "Dr. Who" it's The Doctor, right? Just cause the title says that in the credits doesn't make it so. I will agree that Baker was the best, but they all had their pluses and minuses, Baker included.

  • Now this I can agree with.

  • @MrPsychic8472 Yeah, Colin Baker is the greatest Doctor ever!

  • @EvenflowBlack I meant Tom Baker was the best :P

  • @MrPsychic8472 I know, just couldn't resist an opportunity to be silly

  • Given that RTD is leaving the show, the odds of seeing that aren't good. Also, I know more than a few of the original ideas behind the proposed series wound up becoming part of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which skews the odds even further.

  • thats some creepy music. Nice video though.

  • needed that one

  • he is comminf back for this years christams special!!1

  • I like it. I wish they hadn't cancelled it and had gone in that direction so we could have actually seen that.

  • I don't. I've read what it was going to be - a butcher - they were going to toss all continuity out the window...thank god RTD kept all former Doctors.

  • Thanks for making a WHO title sequence that uses just the Doctor's face! So many peole use half-body shots for that section, and it's just wrong... (yes, Pertwee had a whole body shot, but again - different from just a head and shoulders/torso...)

  • Yeah. I feel sorry for Paul McGann. He's never really starred in any proper TV episodes. We all want to see how he regenerated into Eccleston's Doctor. We want to see the Tale of the Time War. Don't we?

  • There have been rumors, I'm not sure how valid, that he may appear in a multi doctor special either this year or next

  • hmm... Doctor Who Movie 2010

Doctor Who - The Time War Starring Paul McGaan Introducing Christopher Eccleston as the 9th Doctor at the end Credits :D

  • if paul mcgann had starred in the show, this should have been his title sequence, very well done.

  • But Paul McGann DID star in the show.

  • Only the Movie, He ment hi own Doctor Who TV Series

  • If everything went according to plan, he would have been in a series.

  • Great job, mate.

  • How about a Four Doctors? 7, 8, 9, and 10? Two pre time war and two post. Could have a good storyline.

  • Have you heard the tabloid rumours? Paul is coming back! And since the BBC have denied it, that means he's DEFINITELY coming back!

  • Let's see yours then.

  • LOL, the goon couldn't make one, so he deleted his accounr, what a prick

  • Great job! This looks REALLY professional!

  • In negative he looked a bit like Bill Hartnell

  • Very well done! I perfer the emblem you used, in fact! It's very interestingly shaped! The original version of that emblem was in Pertwee's Howlaround, I believe. The Full-Color Diamond Emblem is a nearly equal second, though.

  • This is crackin', and very professional, g'on yersel lol :)

  • If by any chance one of the 3 specials in 2009 was of the Great Time War between the Dalek Empire and the Time Lords of Gallofrey in the 8th doctors years, this would be the perfect titles, as they are "Icy" and very "Mysteious", I really hope so

  • that would be perfect for his doctor series if they made it but aw well movie was gd!

  • I liked Paul McGanns fleeting Doctor episode very much and have enjoyed the BBC radio series with him reprising the role. It's another what if really, the title sequence gives us a tantalising look into the missing Doctor series. I really hope one day we will get to see Mc Gann reprise this role on TV and for the sake of contnuity, his regeneration..

  • You're spot on about the regeneration thing. Maybe one of the specials next year will be devoted to his Doctor, and that vital moment we're missing! Also, if they do another animated story ala Infinite Quest, they should do a The Ten Doctors.

  • These titles rock!

    *faves*

This version of the themetune never fails to send shivers down my spine! ^-^

  • you should say you made it in the title so we are not tricked

  • Well, I apologise for the "trick" - but the description starts with the words "My version..." so it shouldn't take much detective work to figure out what this is.

  • That's not very nice. The movie itself left much to be desired, but McGann was an excellent Doctor.

  • nah...

  • I personally LOVE this version. It looks really professional which makes it that bit more eye-catching! :D

  • Wasnt the theme a more sci-fi music because I have the DVD and the thems different

  • Star Trek?

    How about "General Hospital"?

I did like the Time Tunnel graphics, nice vortex... it was cool that you incorporated the new Gallifreyan symbology into it.

  • It would be interesting to see the 8th Doctor appear in the new series (even though I like Tennant's Doctor much better :). Not like it'd be the first time he's met prior incarnations of himself.

  • Paul McGann is so much better then David Tennant its unreal. McGann is more alien then Tennants Doctor but the daddy of them all has to be Sly McCoy

  • The Doctor Who movie was very bad but the 8Th doctor was a good actor and he should have stared in the new Doctor Who. WE never saw the 8Th dr. regenerating into the 9Th. Its a damn shame.

  • Come to that, I'd like to hear that kind of bass, but for the original "da da da da da da da da" of the 1974 theme, as oppose to the rocknroll "da dum da da da dum da la, da dahm da dala la lum da da...".

  • I wish people would get over having to rocknroll up the theme, but that aside, that is the best vortex graphic I've seen!

  • Great job, mate. Now please send this to BBC Wales and Russell Davies and show them how to do a title sequence! :)

  • if only!

  • I really liked this!

  • heaps cool

  • its just got a sort of sad theme to it i think

  • Yeah, isnt that odd? For a Doctor who's so happy with life...

  • that music kinda makes you wanna cry

  • wicked remix I'm making a series in august so keep an eye open

  • 8th Doctor 8th Doctor. Pardon my typo.

  • AHH. Wasn't that aware. Interesting variation of the theme though. Wouldn't this series make the world's most expensive box set?

yes, you would need a Tardis to store it.

  • heh..yeah..but I doubt it would be a complete set... some of the earlier ones (like the ones made in the 1960s) were destroyed some time ago, and have thus been lost forever.. though I have heard the scripts did survive..

  • Well I can't think of any other TV shows with 30 seasons... lol

  • You even used Big Finish's 9th Doctor theme. Excellent!!!

  • Yeah they should bring the Doctor's face back into the titles, that's what I used to love about the old title sequences, the doctor face shots and how they would fade them in and fade them out with the name. This is very good and the music fits Paul and the late 90's really well!

  • WHOAAA!

    Pretty cool...!

Although, my gripe is that you cut it off too early...

Let the music opening go on a bit...

  • I agree, plus the movies climax and resulotion make no sense!

(and the master was complete and utter bollocks.)

  • your not wrong there!

  • This good like the season that never was They should have given Paul more of a chance Doctor Who has a great english quality and nothing against America(Because they did try to bring it back a long time ago) but the movie looked too Americanized if that's a word and too much of the story was about him coping with his regeneration

  • PINKKYLIELOUISE,

yeahhh us Americans just love to have that dramatic back story. It's like the new series with all this boring romance with whats her name Rose? I think that that is pretty American too.

I don't remember the Doctor mourning over a person so long. And the school girl crushes of Martha. Now Donna is truly British!!

Pretty Much what I am saying..

"I agree" :) Movie not so good!!

  • Like the Cyberman would say 'Excellent'

  • It's good to see Dave Arnolds version of the theme music used.

  • kool vedio

  • Awesome. This should replace the current titles, IMO. 'Cept with Tennant's face, of course. :)

  • brill

  • brill.

  • cool

  • good job i love the theme music used for this intro it sends chills up my spine now thats how doctor who should begin letting you know your about to enter into the unknown.

  • Love the titles. Especially like the metallic clang at the end, that was the point that really made me think the McGann incarnation could have with these titles in the age of the X-Files. Anyway-ta!

  • Not bad. I like the graphics better than the music. I like the slit scan vortex and the use of McGann's face a la the Davison & Baker era.

  • Thanks. I always liked the Pertwee/Baker slit scan titles best and I was trying to create something similar.

  • I rather like this version. It was done by David Arnold from the original composed Ron Grainer.

  • This is me, and that is my site! :-) Someone else has taken these titles off my site though and also uploaded them to YouTube! They are not me!

  • Horrible theme music!!!!

  • This is the music used for all Paul McGann's adventures by Big Finish, (although slightly speeded up to match the Tom Baker timing). My original intention was that this would be the start of [re]construction of The Chimes of Midnight. Guess how far I got...

  • i agree. I can't tell the melody from other backing sounds

  • Nice titles.... except for the horrible logo! The cgi metal version would have been nicer ;-)

  • That logo is the version which is currently branded with the classic series, so I think it was good that it was used here.
