exactly, the only problem is that Israel can't complete it in just one mission and that gives Iran the time to retaliate and many Israeli's will also die, but it's the " best " option. Better a few thousands Israelis that die when Iran attacks than allowing Iran to have nukes and 6 million Israelis die. Since Iran would respond to any military threat legitimately it would escalate quickly and the nuclear option would probably be used if it (Israel) felt it was alone and having hundreds of rockets falling down on it. Not a pretty picture. Iran would never do the same to the Israelis. Nuking civilian centers of Iran is definitively not worth it. Not even US would support the country after that. It would basically destroy the country by its own doing.

They are capable but the cost is too much. Iran and Iraq share a border, Iraq out numbered Iran in almost every military aspect but the war waged on for 6 years and hundreds of thousands died.
