Excellent vid and very interesting approach to assessing UK healthcare from 2 perspectives - the BBC is outstanding when it comes to this type of reporting.
i doubt uk/us are the laughing stock they are the 2 most rich and powerful countries on the planet, yes we have to pay £1.10 for a litre of petrol but it isn't really that much to pay.if you don't like paying that much then move to little poor country in the middle east im sure its alot safer there aswell NOT
This vid shows the UK is behind the rest of Europe when it comes to health. In that sense, we're the laughing stock.
Adjusted for inflation, the Iraq war'll cost > 2x WWII.
To pay for the Iraq war, the US & UK must borrow money from Chinese & Middle Eastern state owned banks which our kids have to repay.
Instead of starting wars, I think we should bring back national service. Nobody would mess with GB if most of the population were fit & had basic military training.
not all the uk has bad health we still have the best soldiers in the world but we are starting to get lazy,i dont know if the uk/us are getting money from china and the middle east why would we uk/us make more money than china it would be a bit of an embarrassment if we are
Some countries borrow while others lend. Right now, we're borrowing, China & the Middle East are lending.
My point was about UK healthcare rather than the health of Brits - see the stats in this vid about infant mortality, doctors per head etc compared to Sweden.
Yes, we have the best elite soldiers. But imagine if EVERYONE had basic combat skills. Then we'd be like Finns - mean little bastards who pwned both the Russians & Germans in WWII.
oh health care sorry, yes britains healthcare is becoming a bit of a disaster but i never thought we were that bad i know englands is quite bad compared to scotland 1 in 170 is shocking how much does britain spend on healthcare and how much does sweden spend?
The weird thing is that there doesn't seem to be such a huge difference. Here are 2004 figures:
Sweden: $2825/person & 9.1% of GDP
UK: $2508/person & 8.1% of GDP
Sweden is a big country with everyone spread out which drives costs up. So to be honest, I don't understand why the NHS is so bad compared to the Swedish system. Maybe people in the UK are in worse health - no exercise, bad diet etc. Or maybe it's mismanagement. I'm not sure.
whats wrong with spending trillions of money on war? rich countries have to spend lots on protecting our country and our interest`s world wide or powerful countries will become a laughing stock
I pay tax in both countries & have mates in Iraq so I reckon I've a right to an opinion on how Messrs. Blair & Brown spend our money sending soldiers to Iraq without the basic gear they need and then abandon them when they get home.
Never mind the cash. What are our soldiers dying for? Also, everyone (including Swedes) suffers from rising oil prices - every extra 1p on a litre of petrol = bankruptcies, job losses, higher food prices, you name it. Awful mess. We pay the bill.
i think the soldiers are already getting better equipment because the public were getting pissed,i couldnt tell you why our soldiers are dying we should have been out of their years ago.and ye food prices etc are going up very fast and they are gonna keep rising its the young families that dont make much cash that are getting hit the hardest by this shit

Compulsory National Service: I'd vote for that!

Look at the mess the UK's in and try to imagine what you could do with a trillion dollars!

Unfortunately, our trillions spent on war in the Middle East seem to have made Brits and Americans the laughing stock.
I feel so much safer now...not.
Plus we're the suckers paying for all this PLUS paying £1.10 for a litre of petrol!

why are you complaining when you are from sweden its a british/american war its our people who pay for the war not sweden
