  • The song "Hot Rod Lincoln" was actually written about a race up this hill in the 1940's. Commander Cody is a cover of it in the '70s.

  • what was your average speed going up this i did it in 5 minutes with my 66 chevy

  • @MrChevy1966 Interesting that you were able to maintain an average speed of over 120mph on this road. Considering it's 10 miles long. Not bad for a 66 Chevy!

  • @jgturk It was a little um... lets just say scarry

  • @jgturk actually its only 7.5 miles. you guys have sweet rides!

  • lol going there today. not in a c5, though.

  • Very modified.

  • Thing sounds GOOD. Where is this? I'm in Virginia.

  • On the southern Washington / Idaho border. Google Lewiston, Idaho. It should be just east of town. :)

  • @jgturk Actually, the Old Spiral Highway starts in North Lewiston, not east of town. I know because I'm a native of Lewiston, Idaho, having been born and raised there. Good to see a video of the drive up the hill. I haven't driven the highway in about 10 years as I no longer live in Lewiston.

  • About 55 sports cars (25 Porsche, 2 Jaguars, Ferrari, Audi R8, and some other cars) had fun pressing the pedal up Spiral Hwy last spring. No bicycles to deal with on our drive. Those wooden posts and wimpy cable would have trouble stopping a parked car from rolling over the edge. I loved this road as you did too.

  • Very brave ride

  • Awesome drive!

  • awesome drive to say the least, gonna have to do it again some time!!!
