You also forgot that Canada has very high income and sales taxes to pay for all the social services. In fact, Canadians near the border come to the US to shop and rationed govt health care means some citizens come to the US to receive health procedures they would have to waited months, due to waiting lists. BTW...there's not much in the way of entrepreneurial spirit or economic growth in socialist countries, because of the high taxes that handicap's industry. Hope that educates you some.

What really makes me sad is that people just do not care.  Ms. Ham makes an excellent point, our representatives are beyond irresponsible, but there is no outrage against it. Waxman will be back in 2010, over 90% of these jokers in Congress will be reelected, and though the Republicans may not be this egregious they certainly won't be "good" either.

Then again, I live in NY. My own state Senate is in complete shambles and the public is completely complacent.
