  • It is important to note that Vi ton (pronounced Vi-ton), is that is the only o-ring material that is recommended for use in sealing parts of machinery that come in contact with fuels, and other volatile chemicals and/or contaminants. A regular o-ring would not cut it, in use with the propane that we as glass artists use, because it would break down rather quickly causing potentially explosive leaks.

    Great video here, very informative.

  • @bzglass Good call BZ, thanks for the comment.....

  • @bzglass I spoke with the engineer @ the valve company. Vi-ton seals should be used for O2, the other seals should be used for propane. FYI. Also, he said no reason to get the brass valve. Stainless is what he recommended.

  • @bzglass The engoneer at the valve company told me Vi-ton seals were only needed for O2. The other seals work better for propane. I also told the owner you mentioned their company in yer video, and they were stoked. Very helpful video, Thanx.

  • I'm on a budget, but I'd like to get the catupgrade...as I think the investment would be worth it overall in the long run.

  • very awesome video, more people should be making their own footpedal control systems. I am glad to see your system coming together.-)
