Step three...get re-elected by the sheep who actually think they helped them to be safe (manufacturers remove the shroud and still produce the same gun. Net effect---wasted tax dollars, no effect on crime). Its a big game that will never end unless people start to think for themselves.

@cpac97 Yea, just make sure that you register your bike, that way if it gets stolen and used in a crime, they can blame you for it. Its cheaper than doing a real investigation. Oh, and you might want to consider getting a shoulder thing that goes up. Check your local regulations first. Sometimes they require a special permit.

From the perspective of someone who knew nothing about guns, the name combined with basic grade school critical thinking would yield a good guess.
"Barrel Shroud". Something that shrouds the barrel. Goes around the barrel. Barrels get hot, maybe its a protective measure for hands.
Anything about a butt-stock feature would technically be the exact opposite as implied by the word "barrel".
