  • These cops need to be arrested for assault and locked away for a few years so that they can think about reading the constitution and Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence, NOT that they ever would. But they might think about it after a few years in the slammer. These guys are dirty C@ck Sucking Ba$tards. Makes me hate cops even more than I do already. Hell waits for faggot pieces of sh#t like these "cops" . Bring on the revolution, I can't wait !

  • You couldn't last a week in those officers shoes!! And yes, there is a law that says you have to provide your ID (or name and DOB) to an officer when asked. Do your homework Cole Barksdale 72. We don't just make up this crap as we go along...donut!

  • "Do your homework Cole Barksdale 72"

Addressed to him, but I'll reply: Some states have laws, but not all.

  • @1bukinut | With all do respect officer, if you really knew the law you were speaking about you should have produced the evidence to support your statement. The fact is that what you are referring to is a COMMERCIAL statute and not a LAW at all.

  • @greeneyedguy Commercial statute? What the hell is a commercial statute? LOL Actually, there are several laws that require you to identify yourself to a police officer when asked. You guys are kidding right? Please tell me you're smarter this. Please.

  • @1bukinut | I apologize for your mistake of fact officer, however the code you are referring to is in the UCC correct? The Uniform Commercial Code? If I am mistaken could you please provide me with the Law you speak of?

  • @greeneyedguy I get paid to enforce the laws and to arrest the bad guys, not to get hurt on the job. You sleep at night because of men and women like me. If someone broke into your home who would you call? Your mom? Would you throw your law book at them? No...You would call the police! :) Sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite!

  • @1bukinut | Please do not mistake my understanding of the Law for disdain of Law Enforcement. I have the UTMOST respect for those who seek to protect and act HONORABLY; I've served my time.

You have still done nothing to address the FACT that NO LAW EXISTS for someone to produce an identification card. The only thing you will find are statutes under the Uniform Commercial Code authorizing police to arrest IF someone suspected of a crime refuses to give their name.

How do you not know that?

  • @1bukinut | Actually, why don't you let me save you time, because the fact is that there is no Law at all which even requires citizens to carry identification let alone present it upon an unfounded demand. You are obliged to identify yourself however if the police have probable cause to suspect that you may be involved in criminal activity. Don't take my word for ask the Supreme court: Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court of Nevada

If you would like a public debate let me know I can set it up

  • @1bukinut | Also, regardless of any claimed "law" requiring one to present identification, the officers in this instance used unprovoked, excessive and deadly force to subdue a man riding a bike. Your attempted justification of this kind of behavior keeps me awake at night worrying that you might actually be driving one of those cars.

It's a shame they stopped teaching Law to "law enforcement"

  • @greeneyedguy @greeneyedguy

I once stopped a guy for walking down the middle of the street (instead of the adjacent sidewalk). He refused to show me his ID and I placed him under arrest. I found 24 rocks of crack cocaine in his pants pocket, all neatly wrapped for sale. He has since pled guilty to possessing drugs of abuse.

  • @1bukinut | Thank you!

  • @greeneyedguy As far as the video goes, I was not there and I don't know the entire story. But, as you can clearly see in the video, Mr. Scott is riding his bicycle at night without any safety lights (headlamp and tail light). Riding a bicycle at night without safety lights, however minor, is a violation of the law. Refusing to provide identification is called Obstructing Official Business in Ohio, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

  • @1bukinut | Sir please correct me if I am wrong, because I like to be certain that I am operating within the law (all 60 million of them in the US if that's even possible):

Since no law exists that citizens carry ID cards, the statutes you refer to on identification simply refer to providing your name to the officers.

I'm not arguing procedure with you, I'm arguing Law here. There is a big difference.

  • @greeneyedguy And finally, the use of a taser is not deadly force. It is called and intermediate level force, one step below deadly force. And as you probably already know (because you seem to know everything), an officer can use force one lever greater that what is being used against him. I can also use my taser on someone who is resisting arrest or who is fleeing (under certain circumstances).

  • @1bukinut | With all do respect officer, I sincerely appreciate anyone who acts Lawfully especially Law Enforcement. The level of force an officer is "authorized" only holds water if the officer is acting in his/her proper roles and not out of negligence or dereliction of duty. Please do not belittle me, I could be your superior, I could be your brother, I could be your mother, you have no idea. What happened to respect? If you cant respect me on a forum are you going to respect me on a stop?

  • Wait, is he on a bike and being arrested? Wow, cops are such cunts. Idiots.

  • Translation: Throw away your rights if you don't want the men with weapons to torture you.

  • @1bukinut Um, yeah, there's no law that says you have to show ID.

  • It seems every state is turning into a fascist fucking police state. It's sickening that there isn't more protest against what's happening to our country.

  • In a country with a free press EVERYBODY with a camera and the desire to be one IS a reporter, so long as they don't interfere.

Interference is the term the police think gives them wiggle room in the constitution, and that's what they will use to intimidate photogs' who might be unaware of the scope of the first amendment.

    Never give up the film.

  • Looks like they talked to him a while then one cop walks away and the other is still talking and the kid wasn't moving until he got touched, then you can clearly see both cops had him face down long enough to cuff him but it's obvious they let him up and waited to taze him. Bad cop, no doughnut....

  • Unfortunately it was even worse than that. Watch closely and you'll see as he gets up, he pulls taser leads out - he was tased on the ground!

So after a 1:35 conversation without the slightest hint of provocation, and NO CRIME committed, he's assaulted with deadly force.

The bottom line is, this demonstrates cops are being trained under paramilitary 'use of force' directives - and most of them with any sense know it.

It's a sad day in this country when people aren't OUTRAGED by this nonsense.

  • Assaulted with deadly force? It's a taser.. Generally speaking, if you're going to resist or fight, you'll get force used. Either batons, fists, tackles, pepperspray or a taser. I'd pick a taser any day of the week. It's within the legal parameters. Don't resist and don't fight. If you're innocent, fight it in court, fighting on the street will get you no where.

  • If you're not willing to stand up for your rights, then you don't deserve those rights.

You're the kind of person who would have told Rosa Parks to pipe down, get in the back of the bus and file a complaint later.

  • They were not stopping him if you pay closer attention. They pulled somebody else over. Looks like the cop noticed no light after the other stop occurred. Still, it doesn't warrant somebody getting pummeled to the ground and tased over and over again. WTF is that all about!! Something is seriously wrong with our police.

  • Is it not possible they were stopping him for a traffic violation...say no light on his bike while riding it at night...petty sure but still illegal.
