In I think it was 1967 (doh, WTF I'm getting old) I saw the Royal Tank Regiment (1, 2 3, 4 not sure bout 5th - correct if i'm wrong) parade before the Queen at Sennelager. The sight of those regiments of Cents parading and the brifge layers raised up with QIIE on them was nothing compered to the sight of chieftain that roared down the airstrip afterwards. I will never forget it. they were just coming into service.
