I love this song. I used to play it when I groomed my rescue horse, Angel. She had been beaten and starved to near death when AC confiscated her and her owners were prosecuted. I got her after the court case was done. I counted 61 scars on her body. She was with me for 4 years and gained weight and was happy. Sadly, when she was 8, she colicked and we had to put her to sleep. I miss her still and this song is dedicated to her.

It's obvious that Jim Brickman has a love for country singers. This song gave Martina McBride a new audience of the Audlt Contemperory charts and I've often wondered why he hasn't asked Suzy Bogguss to do a guest vocal. Suzy's every bit as talented and as beautiful as Martina and could've sang this song just as beautifully as her. But so far, there's been collabaration and that's a pity because Suzy would be right at home on the A.C. Chart.

Jim Brickman was the last concert I saw with my wife before she passed away from non-smoking lung cancer at age 26.
