i agree with imastinkingrat ,all play minimal these days, i think advent is still in the techno tracks production but with some mnml sounds in them,but it fucking kicks ass . it's not like another mnml track all full with some silly boring bubble samples efc. etc ,i think advent is a new sound for techno music,but that's only my opinion

I'm not just pissed. I'm dissapointed. Listen this track by Oxia, and also all his tracks of that era (Nation, Again, Dark Groove etc.) and u will hear techno as it was and as it should be. Then, listen to the minimal b.s. they all play today, and u will hear the difference. I can't find a techno party to go nowadays, I' m tired of 18y.olds "dancing" on minimal & electro cheesy bullshit...

By the way I ve got this Cox's CD and it rocks!!! Look where Cox "the trator" is 2day. It 's a shame...

I can respect that. What I can't respect is the fact the majority of the techno djs now all play minimal. This thing shows lack of musical personality. And I can't bare when people refers to nowadays minimal as techno. Just ain't techno.

fair enough, but from the start techno has always been such a broad term, what is techno?? I remember when innercity first released big fun, and when asked what sort of music it was, they said techno. I dont think you can pinpooint techno as a particular style of music.

I guess not. But for me, techno always have been a house based/related kind of music. I can't see that relation anywhere nowadays. All the funk is gone...

I try but I really can't consider this video arcade music as techno... Maybe I'm just getting old... :-(
