6 very longs hours, but the land was really beautiful.

the soup is not pho in the video. It's hu tieu mi. the taste is very different from pho.

the noodles they use for pho is so different from what i've had in vietnamese restaurants.

You are right...the noodle in this video is made from wheat and not from rice like the traditional pho. That is why it is yellow and not white.

haha 6 hour ride : p that's not even 100k there . you go SO slow there ! took us 7 hours to drive from ho chi ming to ha phong . you go like fucking 30 km and you don't go straight . you drive in a zig zag which takes forever

That was just a regular Teochew style noodle bowl. Bourdain didn't know that and thought it was just another type of Pho.

It's not Pho, it's Mi` aka egg noodle with chicken broth.

This video is making me miss the Mekong Delta. I have a house in Chau Doc only about 4 hours from Can Tho but I really loved the foot.  It has my favorite foods in all of Vietnam. I am going to have to take some time off to go back to what I call "Home"

Thanks for posting! By the way, does anyone know the episode where they cook a pig, roasted over an open flame and they keep adding coconut milk to it while turning it for hours. And when they eat it it's really crispy. I'm guessing its one of the asia episode but I'm not sure.
