Yo, I was just as pissed at all you guys about Dante's new look and blah, blah, blah, however, instead of acting like a two year old I took time to understand the point they were trying to make. The development team went about with that specific purpose of destroying aspects of the series' identity. They took an essentially male orientated action gaming series and compromised it's identity for the sake of marketing the game towards female gamers.

No horror elements, the dark atmosphere and serious tone, the seedy underworld setting of the series etc. They're outsourcing their sequels to other developers because they saw how much of a success it's been to westernize their games and they're going to focus on creating new IPs.

But this DmC just feels different altogether, not only the character design, but the entire game design and its team. This new DmC just seems like a much further departure than DMC4 was.
I'll still going to play it after the release.

@slus90@slus90 what game design? they have 1 or 2 trailers.like they said they wont release combat info.its still in an early phase. my opinion is that what dante did in the cutscenes is what you will be able to do in devil may cry 5.its too early in development to tell though. plus its different from the other games because its before he was a demon and how he became the legend he is in dmc4. they might let u play as other characters too like verigil/nero or u will see dante grow evolve in dmc5
