i have been listening to the "heaven help the fool" album by Bob Weir and I have to recommend it to anyone who likes the Dead--it is perhaps one of the strongest solo efforts by any of the Dead members that I am aware of.
as a side note I was reading a 1992 article featuring Mr. Weir where he said he started distance running in the mid 70s and took up mountain biking in the mid 80s. there is a vitality evident in his work that appears corollary to these facts.
i love how it came out how much they all HATED that dumb donna bitch playing the piano.... love how they fired that tramp. jerry said she was the only person in his entire life that he ever wished dead. i guess she was a real pill impossible to get along with. bitch.
I still have the LP which I might add is in pristine condition ~ my favorite Bob Weir tune ~ not to mention tiny bits of bud still stuck in the crease of the foldout.
garcia is in my opinion the most innovative guitar player so far. his tone is great and he gives the guitar more feelings than most players. music is emotion and his skill and playing style could move you or bring you to your knees
we drove up to d.c. to see this as a simulcast. we had a wreck on the way, the cops were hassling everybody
and the theater was a madhouse. when this tune started, none of that mattered. oh, there were also a few messed up stoners screaming requests as well as "jerrrry" at the screen. yep, the screen.
Does anyone know how to play this great song? No tabs anywhere man!

As the years pass and the seasons turn this music grows fonder in my heart. Words just can't explain.

I would love to know what kind of hell was being raised by Phil and Billy while this gorgeous song was being performed.
