Smokey Mountain holds many memories. The NOBLE SOQUYA's father was a white man from Sevierville and his mother was Cherokee. Soquya wrote the Tsa la gi Di ka ni es di's language. Tsa la gi (Cherokee) GREAT INDIAN REMOVAL OF 1830's and also when was WHITE OAKES FLATS changed the name to GATLINBURG. Civil War when 2 Companies of The Cherokee fought with Thomas's Legion and laid seige on Lincolns Washington, DC. Peace to you and yours.
