They were high but not horribly so. The elbows look very awkward. Get her to pull her hands in tighter, pull the bar a bit lower and force her elbows forward. Her upper back should be super tight under the bar and when she's setting up. It looks like her arms are like that to hold the bar. It should be pulled into her back and supported on the muscular shelf you create when you retract your shoulder blades. I bet she'd also feel a lot more secure under the weight.
something seems really wrong about the bar and hand placement. My squats far from perfect (almost just as far from good) but I've never seen elbows point straight back like that and trying to do so myself really challenges my flexibility. It looks like she might be coming off her heels too at the bottom, so something else to look for besides the tail tuck... I'd try to widen the grip, lower the bar, and deepen the squat and widen the stance.
That's kinda what I figured. I didn't mean to be discouraging. I've found that Over time, better form becomes what's most comfortable, so I figure between you helping her, and more time under the bar she'd get corrected.

Yes, thanks for the critique. I'm still working with her. This is probably the 5th time for her ever doing back squats.

If we cared about what other people did in the gym, we wouldn't be us.
