  • The first time I heard this song was in '98 when botswana won miss universe , been in love ever since .

  • great music ! very spiritual singer x

  • haters will always hate but they will never feel the special feeling we feel when we hear back songs like this... thanks david rudder for this...

  • Agree with Ashton

  • @ashton485 You are a turd.

  • @ashton485 Come to trinidad with that attitude. You won't make it through immigration.

  • @ashton485 You are the reason why people hate Americans... I am American, a very patriotic American. I was born in the US and am very proud of that and would fight anyone who tried to talk shit about the US, but I also lived in Trinidad for 2 years as a child and let me tell you... the music is beatiful, it has meaning, and a sound like no other. Trinidad- Home of the steel drums, a sound that defines the Caribbean. The people there are much more respectful and friendly than any American...

  • @ashton485 ... and the culture is beautiful. So many different cultures mixed into one and yet people get along so well and only see one type of people down there... TRINIDADIANS. Im proud to be an American but will always have Trinidad in my heart and will defend the place that was my home, my beautful home for two amazing years. Trini to the bone.

  • @1TayD7 That was how many years Ago, Have you seen what's going on in that Crime Ridden Place as of Late Trinidad Sucks and Always will Suck until they get a total Make over from Infact their entire system is corrupted It surely isn't Blesed and FREE and THE GREAT NATION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ! GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • @shutter4

Yes, America is great, which reminds me- how's that financial crisis and nationwide unemployment working out for you?

  • @shutter4 America sucks :(

Sorry but your system is as corrupt as it gets with all your wall street bought politicians.

    Dumb ass

  • @ashton485 heheh what's an american doing listening to this?

Shouldn't you be listening to Miley Cyrus/Katy Perry or something oh so godly American.

Yeah THAT's your definition of ood music huh?

  • i am from albania and i love my trinidad babe girl

  • Why I cannot be a Racist! Because I understand that I was the first man on earth according to history. Evidently, ALL other culture of people came outta me so technically I am not their brother or sister, I am their parent. In every people there are traces of me in them but in me there are no trace of any other! Like it or not, accept it or not! Facts a very stubborn and they are extremely hard to change!!

  • @Quelvisv Breeze yuhself 'god'. You are as much a variation of the first man as i am or anyone else. It's not just historical but it's biological.

Also, unless you are literally a million years old then there ain't nobody came out of you 'cept your kids. You are therefore no more important than me or anyone else.

Calm yourself and go take a cold shower.

  • @lordcinturon ...what kinda idiot you are? When I said me I am referring to BLACK people...you idiot! I am not a variation of the first man, I am the first man! Whenever BLACK people dies they go back to their original form and when any other people dies they return to being BLACK,,,YOU ARSE!

  • @Quelvisv Wow! Ok then, egomania! You're saying everyone isn't black and that we all go back to being black? What in essence you are saying is that you believe you are not racist because your belief (and i assure you it is a belief in some kinda fairy tale because lord knows that has absolutely no historical, biological or vague scientific backing) is that YOU, as in, you personally and racially, are superior to everyone else? When you die you pretty much return to being not alive. That's all!

  • @lordcinturon ...evidently, I just went over your head! According to history, it is documented that Black people are the original man! And everyone came after! I did not say so, this is a historical fact! With the application of logic, can anything die? Or does it transform to another level of existence? This too might go over your head! When someone dies, what happens? First time happens that person begins to decay, Doesn't it becomes one with the earth? Where does all our foods comes from?

  • @Quelvisv Oh my mistake! Sorry! Here i was having a scientifically based conversation charged with human rights, equality and logic while you were following some self-righteous, egocentric belief that serves only the people who believe it.

I'm sorry i didn't understand the 'historical' basis for your 'superiority' makes you not racist. I'm sorry i didn't understand that, by your logic, non-black people are racist but black people aren't because they 'can't'.

  • @lordcinturon ...are you making this extra effort to annoyed the shit outta me by being so stupid or is it some kinda gift you have that you are so flippin stupid? Did I ever imply that non-black people are racist but black people are not because they can't? You shoulda been something that shoulda been swallowed rather than being amongst us trying to created evil! I am simply saying what those history books are saying and here you are trying to make my good intentions look wicked and cruel!

  • everytime i hear this tune buss out its melody fills my body with pride to be a trini to d bone. no other country sweeter than trinidad oui!

  • I seriously love the concept of this song.

  • Congratulation rasadam for posting the lyrics of another good, I will not go as far as to say great song because there was Lord Shorty in the 1970s who used to bring out Indians to Calypso Tents by the multitude. Every Friday and Saturday nights Indians used to singlehandedly support Calypso Tents in the 1970s. Indians used to buy out de bar and food. Indians used to have such a great time. Indians used to go on stage and wine openly and they did care...until Cro Cro and Sugar Aloes came...!
