EDH just looks like an incredible hassle. I built a non-menacing highlander elemental deck back in the day, but that was just uncommons for the most part and no one cared what set they were from. Designing and building a hundred-card highlander deck sounds like a PAIN, then shuffling it is also a pain. It just looks like a way for Wizards to make people buy more cards to me.

I got an outsider's view of this game. Why not just use a printer to print your own mtg cards, that would save alot of money. Who gives a fuck about ingenuity.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

But doesn't Ghostway exile your Reaper King and all scarecrows too and return all of them at the same time.

I asked this question before with wizards before and it seems that since they all entered battlefield at the same time, Reaper King doesn't grant its Vindicate ability to the rest. I was asking in regard of using Living Death in my case.

@animaleong Yes, it does return all of the scarecrows simultaneously, but this does, in fact, activate Reaper King's ability for each Scarecrow that comes back at the same time. For example, if you cast Rite of Replication on a Reaper King, you get to destroy 25 permanents (5 tokens each activate the original Reaper King as well as the 4 other tokens, so 4 x 5 + 5).

That is what puzzles me. If this works for Ghostway, why did Wizards rules said it does not work the same for Living Death?

oh the Rite of Replication. I'm sure after that you have no Reaper Kings left due to Legend rule, but a nice price to pay for an opponent with 25 permanents lesser. hahahah

@animaleong You can stack the triggers as you please. Just as if you had used Tooth and Nail to search Primeval Titan and Avenger of Zendikar.

I play a similar deck but it seems you didn't realise that you should put changeling titan and changeling berserker in it as well... all three together (or switch one with clone) and you can destroy every permanent you want. I also play the other "clones" for this combo like "Quicksilver Gargantuan" and "Jwari Shapeshifter " and Sliver overlord wouldn't be a bad idea as well..to fetch the changelings of course. I think it's much stronger than some of your other changelings.

Heheheh. Same here too man. I put in all the Changeling Champions. The only worth playing Changelings I feel are all the Champions and also Mothdust for its low casting cost, even though it is a colored Blue mana. I tried the Jwari Shapeshiter. It seems to be always stuck in the hand without the Changelings, maybe due to the fact that I did not include the Sliver Overlord.

I like your idea of the "Clones". They serve as Commanders killers too~ :D~ nice one dude~!

Yeah, I just bought w worldwake display and opened the jwari shapeshifter in foil but I think it only can make the deck if I play some allies in addition to the changelings (perhaps turntimber ranger because it's also good with "champions")... also conspiracy/xenograft plus turntimber ranger (choose ally) and the worlf enters the battlefield as an ally -> many wolf allies and a big ranger ;)

oh. Talking about Conspiracy and Xenograft. Do they function the same for Creatures on the battlefield?

To my understanding, Conspiracy would be no problem since no matter where they are, all your Creatures are Scarecrows. So you got all the combos you want from there.

But Xenograft only affect those on the battlefield. Would that work like you said above? Creatures you are casting and on the stack are Creature Spells not creatures.

That's true a sakura-tribe elder wouldn't be a scarecrow on the stack with xenograft but it would still enter the battlefield as such.

Also try to get conspiracy into the battlefield before xenograft so you can make all you creatures scarecrows (consipracy)and in addition slivers/allies or whatever (xenograft)if they enter the battlefield in the wrong order conspiracy overwrites xenograft because they are in the same layer but xenograft overwrites nothing since it's additional.

@sadlybadlyy3 yes it is, they would all be put into the raveyard because of the legend rule, but they still come into play and they all trigger their ability for each other reaper king. so, if i'm doing my math right, i'm probably not though, but assuming i am the abilities trigger 25 times and you'd be able to destroy 25 permanents.

@greenbrad182 if you look at most of the scarecrows they say "if you control a red permanent, it has this" or "if you control a black permanent, it has this" so that way the reaper king could activate all of the scarecrows
