  • I love this! the Mbira is very cool and completely infatuates me. I think you did a great job playing it and you made something so complicated look so simple. Under the sea is a great choice of song to be played on this instrument it really makes me smile when I listen to it. great job.

  • @HowManyToChangeABulb There are two octave Array Mbiras. If you are really interested I'd save for a 3 or 4 octave. The two is even more difficult to arrange on. in my opinion. I should put up video of it. oy! It's fun though!

  • I play percussion for Davidson Fine Arts in Augusta Georgia, and we're a pretty good school in terms of music, put we don't have anything as amazing as these wondrous masterpieces. The coolest thing we have is a vibraphone!

    Thank you so much for showing this instruments abilities to me, I`m asking for next Christmas!

  • @XNeelixX They run from about 1800 up...Mine is a 4 octave. I paid 1850.00 for it 4 years ago.

  • @littlegreenjason They are set up in fifths. Mine is also a 4 octave for the four tines in a row are all octaves.

  • looks like one false move could lose u a finger :-), its like a porcupine skin on steriods, showed this to my kids, they started bobping round the room :-) trouble is they made me promise to make one with them, think we will go for a 12 tine version lol, i only have a few old windshield wiper blades in the shed with stainless steel flat springs that would prob work well, you have a gift please share more vids.

  • This is called an Array Mbira. It is a more westernized version of an instrument orginially from Africa. The Mbira, Kalimba, Thumb piano, Finger harp. Many different names. This one was created and made by a company in Ca. If you google arraymbira it will bring up their site.
