WOW I wish I had seen this video about 4 months ago, then maybe I'd still have my eyebrow piercing. Mine got to the point where I could pull the whole barbell through the openings without unscrewing it. Until one day I just gave up and took it out. I was only cleaning it about once or twice a day. Does anyone know if I can get it pierced in the same spot?

Yeh I got mine pierced the week and it got infected at the bottom so I went to the doctors and they gave me penasilin and she said you gotta take it out but ya I didn't take it out and the redness is going away pretty quick only took 1 day for the redness to go

My eyebrow piercing was done almost three months ago, it should be well healed up by now, but instead it is infected, I've been doing salt soaks, spraying it with salt water, cleaning it with antibacterial soap, and then rinsing with clean water on it.. I'm going to start taking vitamins and iron to help it a little, is there anything else I can possibly do, the measurements I've been using is a cup of water and teaspoon of seasalt, then soaking my eyebrow with a small cup filled with that water

@MurderingTyme Through the years I have noticed that if cleaning my infected piercings isn't beginning to heal my piercing right away then im usually cleaning it too much! when you clean it you kill the white blood cells that your body is creating to help kill the infection, try cleaning it less, perhaps only 2-3 times a day, I have noticed it has helped, the body is powerful try and let it do its job! Hopefully this helps you out! :)

Well, I've had this piercing for about a month or so, I do believe that the nerve was pierced, if not it was scratched or something upon me sleeping, as I toss and turn, and I'm bound to have had it snag against things... Is there any way to stop the thing from snagging while I'm sleeping..?

My eyebrow piercings (double piercing, same eyebrow) has been infected for a few weeks. I wear eyebrow rings, the original jewellery the piercer put in. I've had the piercings for a few months now. It doesn't hurt much but the area is swollen and red. Endless amounts of puss! I think the infection was caused by a pimple in-between the piercings. Savlon antiseptic spray hasn't helped matters and it just makes my skin peel so I have started using TCP antiseptic, it's working well so far.

@calokender try to use h2ocean spray, cuz hydrogen peroxide kills skin tissue which means the eyebrow piercing wont be able to heal up

Im pretty sure that my rook piercing is infected, its red swollen and it hurts. I called the pricing studio that did it but they said keep it in and keep cleaning it with the spray that they gave me. the stuff they gave me is kinda crappy and its not working, long story short can i do this same method for my rook piercing? and do u think that will help me?

sea salt is going to suck out impurities ?, from what i know, the osmotic pressure does not have that much of an effect against infections and "sucking" out the "pus" ...

@AyeItsBree Hey, i have two eyebrow rings on the same side. One I've had for two years, and the other for one. What Ive learned is that eyebrow piercings get infected alot. Especially when you clean them, the look fine, and you stop. When you stop, whatever was being cleaned has the chance to grow back so keep cleaning. So dont stop. Dial yellow bar is what i use. And i only soak my eyebrow with salt at the end of the day. Dont pick!! and dont stop. It may take a few weeks, but shouldnt.

the sea salt works!!! both my eyebrows rings got mildly infected. i started washing it twice a day with the gold bar dial soap and then used the sea salt and water. i didnt actually leave the sea salt solution on there for 15 mins. i just took a q-tip and put it on and around my piercing. 3 days later is almost back to normal!!!

i got my eyebrow pierced twice in one day and this was 2 weeks before school started and what ive been doing is putting the salt water stuff in a contact case and holding it there for 15 min at a time 2 times a day. its then end of the school year now and its infected and i get puss coming from them everynow and then. to take care of it should i do exactly what your saying? or see a docter?

this happens because plastic is porous and will absorb the smell, but you can avoid bad smell just cleaning your piercing dayly.

It depends, when most new piercings are done, until about the 1 year mark they can smell pretty nasty. If you have a friend or know soembody who stretched their earlobe recently, I'll bet the taper or the plug they have in it smells awful.

Got ask your piercing studio if it is, they will tell straight off.

you might have knicked on something while you were sleeping.

I did the same thing the day I got my nose pierced, I was in a car with mesh seats and was sleeping, when I woke up I rubbed my face on the seat and ripped out my nose ring.. I've done this many times, sometimes just rubbing your face on something can make the piercing become irritated. I'd clean it every few days just incase.

Surgical steel shouldn`t tarnish, only if you get it from a crappy place and it is a piece of junk. Or, if it is painted/colored where it touches your skin. If you are allergic, of course, then you shouldn`t even be thinking about putting surgical steel in your piercing in the first place. Other than that, you should more than likely try and get your piercing of any kind done with surgical steel. You can always change it after it heals.

please reccomend using gold in peircings. I know surgical steel is usually ok but some peoples body chemistry cant take it. Gold is much more non-allergenic and sometimes changing from silver to gold will help heal a piercing. Gold also doesnt oxidize as fast as silver or stainless. Oxidation which is essentially tarnish...is close to rust in comparisson. This is what makes peoples skin turn black, green or break out.

I don't think putting gold in an infected piercing is a good idea. Gold is a porus material, and it can harbor infection, and plastic can do the same. Surgical steel usually put in piercings and it shouldn't tarnish. I think it would only tarnish if it is a low grade metal. I find that piercing an eyebrow with a CBR heals better and is less prone to infection because it can be cleaned easier and there is room to swell. It's all personal preferance I guess.

And if ur alergic to surgical steel, i know someone who was alergic to it, she changed it to titanium and it didnt irritate didnt get infected straight after that, so yeh. surical steel or titanium is better to use than gold.

It really just depends on the person that is wearing the jewelry. Body chemistry has alot to do with it. Some people are just allergic to certain metals and some aren't, like anything else.
