Alright, I know this video is old...but I just ordered a 24" and wouldn't even think of ordering the 20" one. The 20" actually has a lower quality twisted nematic screen and there is a class action suit against Apple for potentially misleading advertising. If you want to read the details, do a Google search or look for that section on Wiki's iMac article. Either way it probably looks awesome, but still. Can't wait for mine to get here haha.
haha but think about it when you buy a micrsoft computer - you get the shitest screen ever speakers are horrible - they like make the plastic vibarte
the keyboards and mice are horrible - pick and apple keyboard up and see how heavy and nice it is - pick one you get with XP up and drop it its so flimsey and plastic-and durt and dust gets in them! and the mice are horrible compared to mac - so's the screen they give you with xp! macs just great imagine logic pro on xp it wud blue screen of deth!
I just bought a 20 inch andi find it WAY to big, i still love it and it works 10,000 times better than any pc i ever had but i guess, like you said, i will get used to it.
I my opinion, the 20" screen size is more than enough... The only real advantage I see with the 24" is the faster Processor...(you could upgrade everything else for less)
lol AWFUL advice... you should wait as long as posible to get a new computer... and there is abosolubtly no such thing as an 'investment' when it comes to computers. in a year it will be out dated, crappy and reduced to a third of its original price.
I had enough for the 24 inch at the time. But I settled on a 20 inch, giving me a lot of money for Aperature and Final Cut. I dont regret getting the smaller model, since its still got the same power, and if I need to in the future, I will get a cinema display!
It depends what you are gonna use it for. If you are just using normal things, maybe slightly pro, go with the iMac. If you're a pro, go with a mac pro, but if you didnt know what it was before, chances are you dont need a mac pro. Yes, iMacs are more than worth it!
Well this is not true. By going with the 20in. 2.4 ghz you are going to get a small amount more power out of it. The 2.4 GHz 20 inch still have the HD screen. So I would go 20!
Would I be better off getting the 20 inch than maybe a Dell XPS 420 or 430?

nunopumpkin 3 years ago
tough dude! go with 24, its nicer and makes you feel good
TouchTheipodTouch 3 years ago
24" is better because the 20" uses a shitty TN panel which is total dogshit compared to the 24" professional-grade LCD.
blazinhomo 3 years ago
then compare a screen you get with micrsoft, wonder which one is shit then ?
jamez123123 3 years ago
Microsoft doesn't manufacture monitors. If I was to compare the 20" to a IPS panel from samsung or w/e the samsung would crush the TN based iMac

what? I build my own computers. My screen is a 42" tv (check my vids) and my keyboard and mice is more study and much better for my kind of needs.

i can, i just dont on here its quicker and fits more in!!
jamez123123 3 years ago
it all depends on how much it could hold. 24 is mac pro, 20 is just basically basic.

I agree the best you can afford, the 24inch is by far the best, the higher res screen is a huge bonus especially the resolution.

hi just an enquiry. going for my first imac i got a seciond user imac 17" 1.83ghz intel core duo.
no i know its easy to upgrade rambut im wondering is this the older model machine or the lastes.
and can the processor be upgraded or do you havw to eventual buy a whole neew mac ?
webcrawler1982 4 years ago
its good that it is HD, but at the moment, you cant really vue that much HD on it, so I find the 20 inch quality is fine!
