  • ur a lifesaver!! How come nobody else seems to know this? well thanks a ton!! :)

  • Thank you that was very helpful

  • except if you go back to search the pins are still there, will keep looking for something that actually works

  • Magic, thanks!

  • the iPad has an i inside a circle (to the right of the pin, get info)

the blue spot on the bottom is non existent (blurry video)

the way it works on an iPad is...

get directions, back track by tapping each step in the directions, one by one

then delete the name/address from the search bar

  • That is not the way it works on an iPad

that arrow and blue spot on the bottom right are not present on the iPad

    peace )

  • thank U!

  • Well u wuer help fol

  • your a god! thank you.

  • Dude, you seem to be the only person on the planet who knew this. Well done and thanks. It was slightly different on the iPad but all credit goes to you.

  • @anthonp1 Yeah that aren't any other videos on this. I made this video a long time ago. I'm surprised it's still useful.

  • Many thanks for this !

At last, a simple solution that actually worked perfectly !

  • Thank you! I was finding them so annoying haha

  • Video quality would be better if you focused! An easier way though of getting rid of the red/purple pins: Tap in the 'Search or Address' bar at the top, this brings up the keyboard. Tap Clear, tap Done. Red/purple Pin Gone, hooray.

  • @blueturtle01 The video was taken using a digital camera. Auto focus. Glad your solution works for you.

  • No problem. Glad this has helped other people.

  • Thank you so much your a legend was driving me nuts

  • Thanks so much! I had no idea how to do this!

  • Thanks man. i deleted my bookmark

  • Useful ! Thanks...

  • Thanks for the post. It was useful in finding an easier solution. It could be that the app has changed with the OS4 update. Now when you select the arrow that opens up the menu for the dropped pin there I an option right there to delete pin. Thanks

  • Thanks for posting this it. The pins were starting to annoy the hell out of me

  • Thank you. this was winding me up

  • Thank you so much man it was really pissing me off.

  • agree with RJKinNYC ... just try tap Search, does the old RED Pin still there??

  • Thank you soooo much for posting that. It's the only successful method I was able to find.

  • Thanks for posting this.. helped me out a lot..

This is the coolest device to take out...

  • This didn't work for me. After the last step shown in the video, when I tap Search, the old pins are still there.

  • Thank you very much i was thinking about restoring my phone hahah

  • Thanks for this video. I was looking for this option and couldn't find it :)

  • Very good tip for anyone wanting to clear any map info.

  • Cheers. Thanks so much. Would have never thought of that. Odd that there isn't an easier way

  • This is really helpful, thank you so much for posting this. Interestingly, until I turned off the phone and then back on, the pin still showed up. Even though the item was removed from the bookmark list. I must have done the delete three times, thinking I was nuts. Again, many thanks!

  • I don't know. That's odd. Do a hard reset by holding the home and on/off button until you see the Apple logo. I have not had this problem with this so far.

  • wat kind of case is that??

  • It's the Otterbox Defender series case.
