Thank you so much for uploading this drivel. I could never vote for Nile's group. He's a dying race. The sooner, the better. I don't need to be told to vote for believers in religious bronze age myth superstition. The man is dead in the water. Go! Reason!
I agree New philosopher - all people who want the advantage of lomg weekends at Christmas and Easter should be signed up Christians and you should be at work instead. Religious holidays should only be available to those to whom it matters. Praise God that a secularist agrees they are not entitled to these. Oh by the way - you should also not be entitled to penalty rates on these observances - its only fair.
This is why I do not observe these festivals despite the fact that I am often inconvenienced by them.
One thing that I cannot quite understand is Xians insisting that I do partake in the rituals that they plagiarised from the pagans a couple of millenia ago
I had a comment posted, but I have noticed YouTube hasn't put it up.
I think that religious days should not be public holidays. Everyone should have a small number of days they can use to celebrate days with special significance to them, and if they have to work on these days then they should be entitled to penalty rates. That allows Christians to celebrate Xmas and Easter and Good Friday, whilst letting others choose days better suited to their religious beliefs (or lack thereof).
stuff other religons...this is a christain nation...if other religons want to celebrate their days that they say are holy...they can go back from where they come from
You want to protect the rights and freedoms of Christians... What about the rights and freedoms of non-Christians? You would continue to impose religious observances on us, such as prayer in parliament. You may even try to impose new religious observances, restricting our freedoms even more!
As a secularist, I fear you gaining more power and removing some of the barriers between church and state.
As a secularist I assume that prayer is meaningless therefore if the parliament were to engage in such action, in recognition of those who do pray, (religious tolerance) then the secularists get an extra five minutes smoko or time off - should be a win/win for all. Its only imposed if you are forced by physical means to attend, which I am assuming no-one is suggesting. Religious tolerance, or indeed any tolerance is all or nothing not pick and choose which will be tolerated and which will not.
As a secularist you assume prayer is meaningless? You know, really devout believers can be secularists too. I think you are confusing secularism with Atheism. Isn't the problem that parliament starts right after the prayer, and staying outside just for the prayer can make things difficult? Especially if they are first up.
As an atheist, it is not only the increasing momentum of the Xian right in this country concerns me, but also the transformation of the more benign congregations into malignant ones.
It is quite unreasonable that the word "god" is used in our citizenship ceremony.
I understand the Christian Democrats has been handing out some fliers down Campbelltown way outlining their environmental policies. As an evangelical Christian it encourages me to see this finally being recognised as a moral issue. I only hope it is backed up with some substance. Is there a video coming on that?

The notion that Mr Nile's thoughts are filled with prurient thoughts of Ian Thorpe in bike pants is nothing short of a banality.
I think the perverted Mr Nile needs a good hard ass shagging at the hands of a dark hairy middle eastern man by the name of Mohammad Bin Fayed.
They are a bloody weird bunch those christians. Bout time they went on a crusade or something, cause some more bloodshed.

Secularists by definition reject all forms of religious faith. Which I do as well. Religion has no part in Real Christianity.
