  • I would get that if it had the same hardware as my 1215N.

  • so its a laptop with a tiny screen, probably really slow components(because you cant fit much into that), as a keyboard thats pretty cool having a screen on it for lets say macros. but a computer in a pc. i dont think its a good idea.

  • Thats fucking retarded. Why would u even make a screen that small?

  • this is terrible, who would actually use it?

  • its an ipod with a keyboard...

  • @inventorize no it is a touch screen with a keyboard. touch screens aren't all based off ipods

  • Its like my old Commodore 64. :):)

  • Why the fuck wouldn't you just make it a tablet? A tablet could sport a battery, and the screen wouldn't be so tiny that's its unusable...

  • @gm3dgames This was released a year before the first usable tablets came out.

  • Fail device

  • Its ugly, pointless, stupid, laggy, buggy and "Who wants to buy"y

  • Sigh, I hope you choke on your profiteering-earned steak Steve Jobs, this is all your fault =(.

Why is tactile so popular now, typing texts on an iPhone is stupid, if you have nails (which a lot of their fashion obsessed customers do) the screen doesn't respond. I defy anyone to write a text quicker on that glamour-model piece of crap than I can on a keypad.

Love the ideas of mac, HATE THE COMPANY, when I can use an iPod without itunes, use any contract and have a keypad AND touch I'll buy.

  • gayy

  • Commodore-64 Much?

  • try playin mw3 when it comes out with it.. or OR! call of duty 1 :D

  • cool

  • the only thing left now is invent a keyboard that dispense toilet tissue

  • How much... I bet it's like $600. If so I'll go with a iPad with a external keyboard

  • Interesting concept, but the fact that it ships with Windows (XP at that) is where it'll fail, it'd probably be better off with Android or Meego or a mobile type of OS. The LCD part looks like a silly part of the device.

  • kinda 2 big and useless, just get the ipad same sh%t lol

  • If I was a head designer for asus I would get rid of the screen, give it illuminated keys, battery, hdmi, usb, wifi, card reader, bluetooth mouse or integrated touchpad or trackball and sell it in a reasonable price as an awesome living room gadget for browsing internet on your lcd/plasma or whatever tv. Otherwise i find it useless.

  • now see what would be even better than sticking a bloody os in it, is just make it an actual keyboard, but instead of a taskbar you have all your applications in that side screen on your keyboard!

  • It is zin rely zin 0:18

  • wow i have to say that is one piece of hardware i didnt think about. Cool concept

  • hey guys i have windows not on my nexus one but in my keyboard! lol

  • Its slow okay... but will it blend?

  • its cool but very slowly

  • haha works really good...NOT!

  • someone had to get fired after this piece of crap failed hehe

  • good for homework?

  • I think they should call it a NetBoard... LOL

  • keyboard pc is so 2009. i'm waiting for Eee Mouse PC. beat that, macbook air!

can't believe ANUS actually made this crap. fucking improve what already sells and is actually usable, like your 500 netbook models.

  • @GarbageState You mean so "1980's", remember the Amiga 1200, Comodore 64, ZX80, etc? This isn't new, just the LCD onboard display is the difference.

  • @sookster54 yes i remember some of those models. i'm waiting for the return of 5.25" floppy. retro style, with vga port, serial, parallel, ps/2. while macbook air will probably get even thinner and lighter with usb 3.0 ports. i think this is the best ANUS could come up with to "KILLL" MBA lol

  • As everyone else said, what would you use it for?

Masturbating to porn on a public toilet?

Maybe they should make it waterproof so you could also masturbate to porn while scuba-diving. :/

  • ˙˙˙ʎɐqǝ ɯoɹɟ pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ƃuıʞɔnɟ

  • Commodore Amiga was the same concept!

  • WOW!! More junk to flood the market with. Rather keep my mediacenter with bluetooth keyboard that why more powerfull, due to I custom built it and installed a highend videocard with X-FI soundcard and can get more done with a mediacenter pc, then that crap. What market are they try to get? The stupid people, What next "Bestbuy GeekSquad" will charge you $130 to set it up, like they do for PS3 that require 1 cable to hook to your tv and power!!

  • hahaha, ho wow

  • You can't even read shit on that screen.

What the fuck is the point?

  • Interesting piece of tech, but it really has no use for anyone. Who in the hell would want people to catch them with this?

  • 0:07

    "Intresting bit of keyboa..."

    "BULLSHIT"

  • what a waste of technology...

  • The first thing we see, is an windows error... how surprising...

  • the little screen kills it

  • Great

  • eh,looks like iphone with windows and huge keyboard

  • Back in the 80s...

  • This is a very poor design. A small computer that isn't portable? That's pointless. The screen is even displayed the opposite way that screens today are made, making most normal resolution settings in programs completely useless. This is just all around a very poor idea for a PC.

  • @MrsOneDestined

Its stupid if you consider this portable because its not. but imagine putting this with an ultra thin LED monitor. You would have the thinnest desktop pc on the planet.

  • @HDaviator What's the point in that? Smaller, and thinner = more portable. If it's a desktop why would you need that? Plus you'd have a desktop with really shitty specs, most of which are non-upgradable. Only an idiot would make this his desktop PC simply because of how small it is.

  • @MrsOneDestined

You will be amazed of the people out there that want something that looks fancy and only care about the internet.

  • @HDaviator It doesn't even look that great. Anyone with the mentality of "I'm going to buy this PC cause it looks cool", and will pay extra for it, when they can get a more practical machine for less, is an idiot. I'm sure you're machine will look real fancy running Windows XP.

  • @MrsOneDestined

LoL, I agree with you that its stupid. But I don't think the keyboard looks so bad. If Asus is making this, it means there is a market for it. maybe not in the US, perhaps in Japan where people have tiny apartments, hell I don't know.

  • @HDaviator Don't forget, they've made a lot of products in the past that had no market. Just because it was invented does not mean there's a market for it. It means they assume there's a market for it, and are hoping that taking the chance will pay off, and I'm certain this chance will not. To top it all off, the system has XP on it, which it runs poorly at that. Why buy a computer in 2011 (almost there) with an OS that's 10 years old? And no longer serviced?

  • that must be the dumbest laptop or desktop pc w/e thing it is made by asus > .>

  • Why not using netbook instead???

  • Unique! But ultimately and utterly useless. I'm not sure anyone would spend their digital life with their necks tilted to one side while typing and pointing on a tiny screen with their pinky fingers.

  • Comment removed

  • no battery? this is just an overpriced nettop. i has no movility at all. it have the specifications of a netbook but hey netbooks comes with the whole package at 300 to 400, this comes at 600 at its very least. this is a good invention for asus fanboys only given the pricetag. sorry asus, you fail.

  • IT SAYS WIRELESS ON THE THING DOWN BELOW

  • shit i want one!!!

  • my uncle have one but not so nice and haven't impressed him!!!

  • is work too slow...

  • i'd put a mouse pad instead of a screen and use it with an external screen (with a 180 usd discount)

  • Get rid of the screen, lower the price, add a battery and you got me sold

  • The eeeboard!!!!!!!

  • that's kind of a bad concept... a full keyboard with a tiny as shit screen, the ratio of keyboard to screen is crap

  • NO BATTERY???? WTF? LOOK AT EEEFUN ON THE TOP-RIGHT OF THE SCREEN? BATTERY ICON!

  • should have a slide out screen insted

  • This looks like it's an apple keyboard and an iphone combined. I really don't like companies that copy and or make a product that looks like apple!

  • i had one in the 80s! Op Basic V2 Introduced: January 1982 Released: September 1982 How many: ~17 million Price: US $595. CPU: MOS 6510, 1MHz Sound: SID 6581, 3 channels of sound RAM: 64K Display: 25 X 40 text 320 X 200, 16 colors max Ports: TV, RGB & composite video 2 joysticks, cartridge port serial peripheral port :)
  • a keyboard with an itouch on the right

    FAIL

  • @jmpatinhas15 its not an iphone dumass

  • @ZTATION looks like one and eee is pro at copying stuff

  • @jmpatinhas15 But the iTouch/Phone screen actually works.

  • try playin mw2 with it

  • @quadsnipable mw2 is a fail for pc

  • @quadsnipable Boom! There goes the graphics card.

  • laptop with a crappy touchcreen on the side

  • to nie ta piosenka ;/

  • William Gibson's Neuromancer anyone?

  • terrible idea, the touchpad looks terrible!!!

  • lets play CSS on this pc ;))))

  • I think saw this a couple months ago, or a year or something but they didn't have the screen in their concept back then. It was really appealing to see a computer with that type of form factor where all you need is the keyboard/computer mouse and an external monitor. Having a battery and a screen is just a bad idea and I think they should have took those out to reduce costs and also include an internal wifi antennae along the top ridge of the keyboard. Going mobile with this is embarrassing.

  • Se ve bonita, pero como para que usarla, cual seria su campo de aplicacion?

  • @franciscoferia123 tengo una netbook, la uso primordialmente en casa para poner videos en la tv del living o jugar project 64 en la misma. Ahi.

  • LOL Play Bioshock On That.

  • it's kinda looks like a mac product

  • Kinda reminded me of BBC Electron (or was it Electon?) and Comodore Amiga 1200.

Just think of it as a PC in the form of a keyboard (like the Electron and the 1200), plus a big trackpad/screen. Don't think of it as a keyboard with a PC and a touchscreen.

The trackpad/screen probably inserted into it as an attention getter, otherwise it would be look pretty normal.... and cheap.

  • having an hdmi port on a keyboard is like installing a motor on a toilet

  • @vnvxvnv

but what shoud you do with a motor in your toilet.

an hdmi port on this keyboard makes it possible to add a screen.

    what shoud a motor in your toilet do?;

    *help you sit down?

    *whipe your as?

    *flush the toilet?

    *help you stand up?

i think i rather do that stuff myself xD

    grz....

  • @nilsderooy yeah it might be more useful for this keyboard but i was speaking for any keyboard in general

  • @vnvxvnv

    its not a keyboard...

  • @Mattisbehindyou yeah i noticed as i went further into the video

  • Tres Ghey

  • I could use that computer as an ADVANCED KeYbOaRd! And use the touch screen as a mouse pad. XD

  • the touch screen can totally be a trackpad or something

  • this device would be verry convieneyent for desktop computing and you could use the screen on the keyboard as a rescource monitor

  • @kuza261 Benchmarking sounds about right. . . Temp monitors, memory/cpu/gpu/HDD usage. Yes it would!

  • they just glued a iphone to a keybored

  • This has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

  • Price is OVER 9,000!

  • @qtopthisq $600, but good guess.

  • @arthmus01 XD

  • Too hard to see the screen.... wouldn't buy it.

  • @sweetbilly u can hook it up to a monitor

  • considering this an IPAD is retarded because the IPAD is useless and this is Completely Useless

  • the touch screen should have been on the left!! wtf

  • I WANT MY NUMERIC BUTTONS!!!!

  • @razzp25 The screen has a numeric pad on it

  • pretty awesome, but I'd rather have a thick, sturdy board with better hardware. To everybody who doesn't understand this, realize that having a display on mobile computers will soon be a thing of the past-- check out Brother's retinal imaging device, or even the german-japanese prosthetic retinal implant. It's too bad they didn't call this a cyber deck, but then they didn't name the internet after the matrix either...

  • I've seen a few comments saying it needs a monitor or a bigger screen. Well, WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK THE PC PLUG ON THE BACK IS FOR?!? OR THE HDMI?!? lol! Ur so weird! Pay attention you dopes! :) lol thanks :)

  • I´d rather use my iPhone with a bluetooth keyboard or a real notebook... This product doesn´t really make sense at all...

  • this keyboard is not designed for the aggressions have hindered the PC and how to beat on it ... this is the keyboard not because then I'm sorry

  • make this a regular keyboard with the multitouch surface to replace the mouse and you got a great thing

  • price?!

  • just need a monitor

  • in front of the keyboard it clearly said in fine print. Edd keyboard (pc). pause at 0:07

  • que tonto producto!

  • Osea es microsoft...acaso esperabas algo original?? jajaja iluso mastica mierda...

  • I agree with Hy0010 - developers should have space the keys apart and placed the screen in the middle...

  • Can't find any use for such a weird machine. Everything depends on the pricing though.

  • man go to commodore usa you will find it on google just enter commodore and watch...WOW....

  • Imagine doom on that little screen

  • That's sexy

  • my local city library have keyboard pc's

  • It works as good as a macbook^^

    NO!!!

  • Reminds me of the commodore.

  • its an iPhone stuck into a keyboard!!!

  • @MrPingu00123 iphone have iphone os, but this have windows xp

  • pfft i can do that ill just put an ipod touch beside my keyboard :P

  • lol replay 3:46

  • 5 stars for voice break at 0:09 (kit)

  • i dare you to play gta sa on it

  • So basically ppl would just need to plug it in with a full size monitor to really see? It would be really weird to type and stare at the small monitor on the right... I personally found this idea is not really that amazing, or even tend to think this is kind of stupid (not trying to offend anyone...), I would rather get a real laptop or iPad instead of this...

  • @microkarl

Read the label on the table, media center.

I think its neat. Using the small screen merely to navigate through music or movies you got before you hook it up to the tv, ultimately it is to be plugged into a larger screen (tv). Add a wireless transmit system to it and this thing would have probably sold well. This is for streaming to a larger screen, iPad is not. I'm guessing the only reason it has a screen, is for watching porn while the family watches Hannah Montana on the tv

  • "net keyboard" you could of meant "netboard"

  • does it work with mac?

  • OMG MAN

  • "way more easy" wow more easier WTF... fuckin fag

  • Not bad! So, everything is going back to the roots, like the keyboard-computers in the 80s (C64, Amiga). Just need a port to connect it with an external monitor.

  • Wow! What a crazzy thing! If you need a computer only for internet or small office works, why not? :)

  • wow it works just perfectly in the demo. impressive.

  • weird..

  • Получился старый добрый БК... :)

  • @JanJanych really? i was actually thinking the same

  • sooo.. where is the pull out O-LED screen?? ;) that would awesome!

  • Hi ZX Spectrum!

  • Apple's next device will be a "mouse pc"..in your face ASUS!

  • screen in the middle would be much better

  • @hy0010

    Agreed this is kinda lame

  • @hy0010 but it would make the keyboard bigger... (personaly, i would preffer in the middle too.. but the special thing of this keyboard is the size..)

  • so its basically a laptop without the monitor -_-

  • @k3456789 no. its a nettop + 5" useless screen. as it has no battery

  • This product isn't exactly successful but I believe the concept has A LOT more to it. It's that thinking out of the box that makes great products. I'm thinking about a full blown keyboard PC and one of those displays that look like a sheet of plastic. if you need it you just attach it to a vertical surface pull out the keyboard and you have your PC all done :D

  • wow that guy was annoying... do not let him take or touch anything, horrible

  • Please don't let the Swedish guy touch another computer - he dicked up everything... He hadn't the slightest idea what he was doing. 5 minutes with the machine prior to taping would have resulted in a PROFOUND difference! LMAO.

  • i likeeeee

  • that is the most pointless thing ever!!!

  • Sweet accent :)

  • Could be very useful. Unfortunately they put the touchscreen on the wrong side for right handed mouse users. ie, if they had put it on the left, you could use that touch screen to control shuttle wheels and the like with pro software packages while still having your mouse hand free to control other things. The design itself, like every other pc device maker, is a complete rip off of Apple.

  • Innovation is great, though I question the need of such a computer. The hardware is probably impossible to upgrade, and the screen is way tiny. It should have been left to a next-gen keyboard one where you could draw and map your own gestures and commands, as well as being a track pad.

They should have left the mobile market alone with this product.

A drawback would be it would not appeal to lefties, unless they made the screen portion detachable so it could be positioned on the left instead.

  • looks like someone hooked up a keyboard to an iTouch

  • good luck reading stuff on that screen lol

  • @DarkDant3 you hook it up to a tv

  • very stupid idea...If you wanna out-compete the ipad you gotta make something similar with multi-tasking capabilities and flash capabilities...this product will not be popular.

  • @tomasn47 I think this and the iPad is a completely different idea and product.

  • Comodore + iPod Touch

  • fff

  • lol windows xp... sucks!!!

  • @ThunderHacker Fuck youuuu WinXP PWNS

  • @Kweezy157 no windows 7 pwns xp sooo lame

  • @ThunderHacker well if thats so, why do most organizations use XP right now? Vista totally sucks and Windows 7 still has some compatibility issues.

  • i wud want the keyboard only looks nice
