@plemmplemm3 i can't really say because i haven't played the PSP version. if you have a DS or Wii you can get tetris party deluxe which has a similar mode, but it ends at level 15.

TZ master has instant gravity from the beginning, and the lock delay and spawn delay decrease with each level up. to get similar gameplay in an official game you'd have to go with master mode (15 levels) in tetris party deluxe.

what i meant in that comment was you couldn't get similar gameplay in TF, so there's really no way to compare scores. but you're right about the # of levels being the same.

i use S-rotate left, D-rotate right, F-hard drop, H-left, J-right, K-soft drop, L-hold. in other tetris games i use J-K-L-; but Tetris Zone doesn't let you use semicolon so i have to shift my right hand over.

it feels ok to me, and the good thing is your left and right hands do about the same amount of work.

this is actually instant gravity with a delay before the pieces lock, and the delay gets shorter as the level increases. but you're right, there are a lot of videos around with no gravity. a lot of people seem to like that for 40 lines mode.

Hi ! Please check out my musical physics-based clone of Tetris :) it's called Vitamini game. Blocks fall down from the top but then bounce back following the laws of physics. They also synthesize sounds in synchronization with music.

yeah, you just have to be online to unlock the game with your username and password. then you can play offline, and whenever you go online again your best scores will upload to the leaderboard.

that's right. you just have to make sure not to log out by mistake, and not to delete your profile in the game folder.

sorry, i just don't really see your point. the goal in this mode is to score points, not to just finish the mode. it's kind of like TGM1, except your time doesn't matter in TZ master (not that it's very hard to finish TGM1 in under 13:30).

Well yes you are right it is like TGM1 but in TGM1 the rotational system was just harder, like to be able to spin a I piece on TGM you needed a hole 2 spots deep on the right middle block, on this you can rotate it whenever you feel like it.

yeah, i'm not going to argue with that. TGM1 definitely has a more difficult rotation system.

what's good is that there's a large separation among the people on the tetris zone master leaderboard. some people can only complete the mode, while others make tetrises and T-spins the whole way.

there's a good separation among TGM players too, even though plenty of people have reached GM. some people can complete it ridiculously fast.

The master mode is a good way to practice for the main game, I've found. Get used to the timing in master mode and the main game will be much easier.

thanks :) there's a game called Lockjaw at pineight. com/lj which is great for practice. to work on master mode try setting the speed curve on "death" and lock delay on "never," or you can tweak the options to make it more like sprint mode.

i use a program called camtasia for recording. if you want to upload a video to youtube, it's best to capture a 4x3 area rather than only the tetris zone window because youtube likes to stretch videos to fit that size.
