I like your work Dr. Lee, but I don't think this patient had the supraorbital ridge structure needed to facilitate a good looking double-eyelid outcome. The characteristically flat supraorbital ridge structures of many asians make double-eyelids look pretty bad when theyre applied. I use this patient as case in point. The double eyelid looks terribly unnatural in relation to the bone structure above it.

The white area below the iris is normally not visible. It can occur as a side effect of lower eyelid surgery if not correctly performed, or it can be caused by a protruding eye ball, sometimes caused by a medical condition (thyroid disease being the most common). It does occur naturally in some ethnic groups.

That's difficult to answer. It depends on your overall appearance but generally surgeries work better when addressing the specific area. For example, jawline surgery to narrow the jawline, rather than to complement or elongate the neck.
I've noticed there are two types of double eyelids one is where the crease line would end near the inner corner of the eye and the other the crease line would extend into the eye/tear duct. I'm guessing with surgery only the 1st one is achievable? Because the 2nd part of the lid is covered by skin creating an inner hidden space. Which procedures are usually performed?
One can get either type of fold with surgery. If there is a prominent inner fold (epicanthal fold), surgery can remove the excess skin so that the crease will flow more easily and all the way across the eye instead of ending a little short. Dr. Lee, I'm unsure if what I want to get is considered double eyelid surgery. My upper eyelid is heavier and tends to cover my eyelashes. If the white area below the iris is very visible, what can be done to fix that? Does upper eyelid surgery make it worse ?

The white area below the iris is normally not visible. It can occur as a side effect of lower eyelid surgery if not correctly performed, or it can be caused by a protruding eye ball, sometimes caused by a medical condition (thyroid disease being the most common). It does occur naturally in some ethnic groups.

That's difficult to answer. It depends on your overall appearance but generally surgeries work better when addressing the specific area. For example, jawline surgery to narrow the jawline, rather than to complement or elongate the neck.

I've noticed there are two types of double eyelids one is where the crease line would end near the inner corner of the eye and the other the crease line would extend into the eye/tear duct. I'm guessing with surgery only the 1st one is achievable? Because the 2nd part of the lid is covered by skin creating an inner hidden space. Which procedures are usually performed?

One can get either type of fold with surgery. If there is a prominent inner fold (epicanthal fold), surgery can remove the excess skin so that the crease will flow more easily and all the way across the eye instead of ending a little short. Dr. Lee, I'm unsure if what I want to get is considered double eyelid surgery. My upper eyelid is heavier and tends to cover my eyelashes. I have a kind of a tear drop eye shape with the tail end kind of 'drooping' downwards, as my sister would say. Is there way to get rid of this excessive drooping? I'm also contemplating getting rhinoplasty as my nose is a little on the bulbous side.

Eyelid droopage you are describing can be due to a weakness in the eyelid elevating muscle. I correct this problem at the same time as eyelid crease surgery. Feel free to visit my website and email your questions and include a picture for a full photo evaluation.
