its a pre 2000 bandit 600, 1200's have a fuel guage in the middle of the speedo and rev counter and redline is lower. Doesnt matter about the other side of the road, i'd be more worried about a deer running across!
Just noticed from your description that you supposedly dont know the rider, so I would take back my comment, apart from the fact that you're defending whoever the rider was (whether it was actually yourself or someone else) and saying they went wide on purpose ...
Wow that was obviously a mistake going over the other side of the road, in fact, you almost went off the other side of the road. And looking at the video you totally couldn't see if it was clear or not. We all make mistakes ... but first of all I don't know why you posted this embaressing video, secondly I can't believe you're saying you did this on purpose.
The rider turns off the A171 Scarborough to Whitby Road in North Yorks, and heads onto the B1416 towards Ruswarp - I recognised the road right at the end of the shot, as I know the bend well, and its a good job I wasnt riding the other direction, which I do regularly!! tut tut silly Bandit rider!
I don't think this is a dangerous video at all apart from the speed aspect. The rider clearly had a good view of the road otherwise he would not have used all of the road he had available to him. If he had tried to take the corner at those speeds attempting to keep to his side of the road it would have been alot harder.
what a prick! Being a very experienced biker, if you cant keep on your side of the ride, keep the safe side of the revs! Bikers like you make statistics every one reads about! Having there been a bike on the other side just mosying at 40, your speed would have killed you both!!
ye tis definitely a good ol' fashioned unfaired bandit. and location-wise its over some moors so could be scotland or pretty much anywhere 'oop north, pennines, peak district, take ur pick.

What are all these comments about not going into the other lane? If there's noone in it then its fine to do so.
