Alex Chilton was the dude who sang The Letter..other hits for The Boxtops, teenybopper craze in 60's.. after Big Star he had solo career. Brilliant man. Replacements did song called" alex Chilton" ..."I never travel far..without a little...BIG STAR!". GREAT 5 CD LITTLE COMPILATION CAME OUT b sides booklet unreleased..year alex died in 2010..get it on ebay! I Oasis listened to Chilton.espLiam.googlealex+bs!
