  • Children is Treasure of Country and World.

    Awesome Japan!!

  • I really wish my school was like this.. :/

  • awwwww so cute

  • That will never come to America.. Obesity is big money at the cost to the people.

Sickning that children are seen as nothing but profit....

  • かわええのう^^

  • this isn't anything new though. thats how its always been in japan

  • 1:03 lol so funny :P xx

  • lol the japanese diet is already pretty damn healthy. i mean c'mon they have the world's lowest obesity rates, and have some of the oldest people in the world.

  • why her japanese is so suck

  • I don't what schools you guys go to but my school has a regular lunch and a make your own lunch option

  • Better than the shit we have in the usa.

  • Ahhahahahahahahaahhahahahaha! My school doesn't have crap lunches! We have a catering service come by and they have tasty and healthy foods :)

  • I wish I had good food when I went to school(especially high school) instead of old soggy hot chips.

  • 1:06 i like him, hes cute and funny XD

  • God freaking damn it... Why aren't our stupid american schools like this?!?! DX< ARGH!!

  • that must not be sanitary.....

  • Yeah, women making the food. They're fine.

  • actually, hamburger steak is just that; hamburger meat with sauce, without the bun. I have those for dinner sometimes with veggies. don't need the bun really, not when I can add stuff like garlic, eggs or worcestershire sauce to the meat itself before grilling it. Oishii!

  • 650 calories?!? isnt that a lot for like one meal for a 9 year old?

  • Hey, hot Caucasian reporter, every boy on your table has a hard-on.

  • I grew up in Japan, and it still looks the same how they would serve lunches in their own classrooms. Around 10 a.m., you would start smelling something delicious and lunch ladies be cooking up big batches of whatever fresh on site.

Eash week kids take turns to serve. Younger students get help from 5th and 6th grader for that. I miss those days...My kids are going to school in the States and they don't like their food in cafeteria.

  • 1:05 lol, I just wanna take a picture with him if I was there!

  • @MsFavorited haha me too, so adorable!

  • I want to move to Japan. Now.

  • @MimiAnotherNote lol, u sure about that?

  • lol...i'm in an all girls school and the girl who weighs the most in my class is also the prettiest xD ironic...

  • hhahaha 1:04 that kids so funny

  • now thats a really smart way to stop obesity as expected from japan

  • i wish i had fresh healthy meals like this instead of uncooked french fries and pizza....

we have other choices but theyre still gross :(

  • The majority of Japanese people aren't fat. :/ They're food is HEALTHY.

  • Though a more accurate translation of Japanese "hamburger" is more like Salisbury steak or meat loaf in American english, since it is made with ground beef.

  • @0:36 I like how they start training to be Power Rangers at such young ages. xD

  • han-ba-gu is like meatloaf just btw the lady heard wrong.. Han-ba-ga is hanburger

  • those kids are so cute ^_^

  • the reporter is hot

  • Those lunches kick the shit out of America's pizza and burritos

  • hanbagu is hamburger. Steiki is steak.

  • haha Japan, they're ahead of us by so much, good on them :D

  • HAHAHAHA I HAVE WATCHED THIS VIDEO 136 TIMES. so funnnyyyy

  • On 1:34 the women implies that the boy's favorite food is hamburgers, but actually the boy was talking about steak.

The boy said "Han-ba-gu" which is steak, and the women thought he said "Han-ba-ga-" which is hamburger. I'm Japanese so I know what those children say.

  • LOL, I thought the same too... I thought the boy was referring to steak rather what the reporter said.

  • @Guymeyou Yeah, even I (im not japanese) know what he said :D These news are kinda fail...

  • @Guymeyou

I also think so, because I'm Japanese too:)

And, my mother works as a school lunch cook!

  • my class is full of fat people... we need help lol..

  • 1:05 rofl :D

  • I bet their lunches are OISHIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!

  • I wish America would have a lunch system like this.

  • @Ledzeppy333 the Japanese are far ahead. Their Knowledge is strictly linked up with what they also eat.

The funny thing is that Americans are developed too but Americans are too impatient and most Americans eat what is just not good for them, but many Americans today are changing. Many Americans today are into mediterranean and Japanes diet.

  • This is an awesome idea. I just wish America would do something like this. There's like, what, 75% obese/overweight people/kids now? Something alarmingly high like that. I would be more than happy to volunteer and help serve food like this, I just wish someone in power would agree also.

  • waa im fat too!!

    haha!^^

all of them know how to play instruments! sugee!!

  • This must apply to indian school.

  • An interesting story, but I have to say that after having worked in Japanese elementary and middle schools for over 4 years now, there is no real problem with obesity. 90% of my kids are slim or skinny, with only a very few being chubby and only 3 or 4 in the whole school being what you might call obese.

The kids do so much sport and the school lunches and mostly fresh food help. Of course, I'm in rural Japan, which is diff than Tokyo.
