@imthebomb36 Yeah but it would be even more awesome if it had all the theaters of war (Europe, The Eastern Front, North Africa, Asia, and The Pacific) and had singleplayer like battlefield 1942 and forgotten hope did. I can understand why EA and DICE didn't do that that though. I mean they streched too little money too far. They had so little money that they couldn't even replace the K98 with an asrika rifle. Go on Battlefield 1943's website and they even admit it.

This was the only series of first person shooter games my mom would let me buy untill battlefield bad company (because until that point the rating was strictly "teen" for violence and blood).

When I was 18 my mom absolutely refused to let me buy battlefield bad company 2. But that is a great idea nevertheless. I would have bought battlefield 1943 but my mom also happened to think that somehow playing online would get a virus on your computer (jeesh). Plus only the pacific maps were available. I am glad mom cared about me & my pc though :)

God I loved the BF1942 series. Some brilliant maps as well. Poland 1939 and the Aluetian Islands as well to think of a couple of custom games. The innovation was second to none. Remember playing a WW1 version as well for a while. All credit to the blokes who did all that.
