  • Amazing minds, real artists.

  • ... They were from the 70's? Huh, news to me! Love this song!

  • Of course they make humorist songs. one of them is named LOL

  • my dad showed me this song and the beginning and end always got stuck in my head but i loved it

  • @BazookaWorm14 exact same here!

  • When it "comes" to their name your a bit off, the average amount is 9cc's, they

wanted to boast off their masculinity so added an extra 1cc to the total amount,

hence 10cc. One of their first songs was "Neanderthal man", just saying!.

  • the 70's version of system of a down, i'll never forget my dad playing this vinyl when i was just a lil kid.

  • I bow down to 10cc.

  • I Wanna Rule The World - 10cc [Stockport, England] - 1976 - "...the band (unbeknownst to their audience) commenced the split which would become painfully public in late 1976. ...the funniest song on the album by far, and one of the most inventive. ...with a Zappa-ed out Munchkin hell... - Original Soundtrack/ How Dare You! [Import UK] (Universal International)-2009.

NOTE: NOTE: It's almost a bizarre Rock Opera with Geo-political "World Bully" written all over it.

  • can't say i'v ever heard this one ........it's not something i would have bought.although i love 10cc the stuff that came after this was awesome music .

  • I love this, when I was a kid I thought they where singing a wanna be Bus. When I played it to my kids they thought it to!

  • Heard 10cc got their name from..... average orgasmic squirt of the gooey stuff was 10cc ?

  • @MarkandRobbie ha!!! lololol lalalala hee haw heeeeee haw.....but really?

  • wow these songs are so creative!!! im so jealous of those of you who got to see em live!

  • oh my god this is hilarious!!

  • pure brilliance - i had this album in the hay day of the 70s so many great memories thanks for posting.

also check out live and let live album all you guys new to 10cc

  • @Stratman, also check out Godley & Creme's first album after the departure from 10cc. It's pretty weird but also very cool and far ahead of their time. They made it to promote their Gizmo and is titled Consequences. It was originally released as a boxed set triple album and was also a theme album about the end of the world. They collaborated with comedian Peter Cook who wrote a story and also does some ove the characters in the story. There's also more instrumental tracks than usual.

  • I wonder if this song had anything to do with the Neo-cons taking over the world!! Dick Cheneys favorite?

  • LOL at 2:46 sounds like South park. "mr Hanky the christmas poo."

  • this is rape bread nuts

  • OMG! I just discovered this song today! WOW! I only know 10CC for doing "I'm Not in Love" and "The Things We Do For Love." But this song has now got me hooked and interested! I love it! Straight into my favourites.

Because of this song, 10CC will be the next band I will be venturing into.

  • @Stratman78 You have a great adventure ahead :) Art for Art's Sake, I'm Mandy Fly me, Feel the Benefit, Rubber Bullets, Dreadlock Holiday.... the list goes on.

  • @scouserfourteen Couldn't have put it better myself, Stratman78, look into the 'Sheet Music' album.

  • @jackthehatuk @scouserfourteen and @loathing138 Just picked up 'The Complete UK Recordings' that has the first two 10cc albums on 2 CD's including all their singles. From their first album, I like "Rubber Bullets," "Headline Hustler," "Speed Kills," and "Ships Don't Disappear in the Night (Do They?)." On 'Sheet Music,' I like how they go from "The Worst Band in the World" to "Clockwork Creep." What a transistion! The single "Gismo My Way" is fantastic!

  • @Stratman78 I only knew 10cc for Dreadlock Holiday and decided to look up some of their other stuff. Wow! What shock! They are fantastic, but I expected to be entirely different.

  • I agree, 'How Dare You' is a totally underrated masterpiece. Like Spirit's '12 Dreams' it is a feast of different directions, all beautifully woven in a concept album format...and the reason they are compared to The Beatles at all, is that very few bands were that creative in a variety of directions. Love 10cc. Love The Beatles.

  • 10cc, The WHO, Queen, Pink Floyd

    WHO RULES????

  • Man - This Song Take's Me Way Back To 15 - 16 Yr's Old and I Love It Then And I Still Do ToDay ...(^_^(?... How I Wish I Can See Them Play This Song Live Now - Boy Yes - Need I Say More ?

  • Certainly one of the greatest "lost songs" in modern music.

  • one of the most underated bands of all time and one of my favorite.G-D bless 10cc

  • @MrSpongg Wow! You know the words!!

  • know all lyrics by heart, love them

  • this song is dedicated to my mum cos she is a bossy pain in the arse!

  • This band did have a sense of humor: I Wanna Rule The World - 10cc [Stockport, England] - 1976 - "...the band (unbeknownst to their audience) commenced the split which would become painfully public in late 1976. ...the funniest song on the album by far, and one of the most inventive. ...with a Zappa-ed out Munchkin hell..." - How Dare You!

  • wtf, a photo of BTO

  • I had the opportunity to see these boys in the late 70's. This was the finest of 500+ concerts I've seen in my lifetime exceeding Pink Floyd, Bowie, Queen, Santana, Edgar & Johnny Winters together, Rod Stewart and the Faces - all at their peak. I often wondered if it had anything to do with the LSD25 we shared with their roadies prior to the show. They were backed up by Garfield, a phenomenal band. Check out their classic 'Eyes'.

  • not one genius but 4

  • No one else to compare them with! They were/are unique!

  • "How dare you" is the best 10cc album for me and something special for the 70s.

  • Great band

  • great band

  • Brilliant band

  • does any one know how they got their name, i know the answer, does anyone else, great trivia question??

  • @j355icadog well i mean trivia questions are pretty redundant considering we are all a google click away... :p

  • @j355icadog 10cc is the volume of the average ejaculation.I read this in an old interview with the band.

  • God I love this band, they're one of my favorites, I completely respect them, the talent in the band is virtually unparalleled... but Kevin Godley just ALWAYS looks like he's stoned out of his gourd =) and I mean that in the nicest possible way...

  • very clever and very talented people

  • Hahahaha, it is his left eye!!! ....and yah, they ARE a clever band, very intellectual and so dang good, just gotta love them!

  • @megaladon73 i also love this band, did you know that kev is colour blind, so hence the odd eyes, great band checkmout all there other works, many thanks g

  • they did rule the worrld in the seventies

  • this is excellent. 10cc are to under rated!

i love to play this on the guitar!

  • it's the first time i've heard this and it sound like the bee gees on acid. lovely.

  • @ametalkettle1 yes and at the beginning like Yes !

  • 4 brilliant musicians/composers under one roof.

  • πολυ ομορφο αγαπητη μου φιλη! ευχαριστω πολυ για το βιντεο!!φιλακια!

  • Legendary song!!! Wonderful nostalgia ღღღღღ

  • i freaking love 10cc they were my favorite band at a point. i found them when i looked up the worlds worst band. I like them

  • Always interesting ...never dull!!

  • DELAPSUS RESURGAM: When I Fall I Shall Rise!

  • Dated? They sound like They Might Be Giants 10 years before they ever were! And TMBG are still around and still sound like this at times. You could put sections of this song on Malcolm in the Middle episodes and not be able to tell the difference.

  • I agree. One of the most underrated bands in the world! 10 cc is magic!

  • How Dare You is a truly amazing work.

  • .52

  • emmm....Reminds me of someone...

    LOL

  • This was such a wonderful album - hearing this just inspired me! Awesome.

  • Such a funny song.

  • Ah. I love this song!

  • FIFTH OF VODKA

    LIKE A BOSS

  • watcha gonna do, how you gonna do it?

  • little by little, bit by bit

  • hi jesse =)

  • His big boss didn't give enough time off work.

  • and never again will they dare to call me a ....

  • yea!!!

  • "Delapsus resurgam." How many bands can you name that could put that in their lyrics?

    Greatest. Band. Ever.

  • Actually, quite a few chief...

  • only douches call people chief.

    good band btw :)

  • I would'nt call them 'Gay' just a little bit dated...you have to remember that this band had some of the best songwriters around at the time...

  • A great band with excellent performances and great innovative music and video's. E.g. "cry"of Godley and Cream (members of 10CC.

  • Just so ahead of there time. What an amazing band. God wouldn't it be so unreal to hear some1 now write something interesting with amazing chord changes & off timing structures to make todays music that wee bit more interesting for all the young up & coming muso's to have something to give us???

10cc are just the greatest band ever!

  • you should check out red hot chili pepppers

o and i think you would love john frusciante

his dying song is beautiful. ; )

  • I love those guys.

  • They where too much underrated. They deserver more succes

  • So great! Love them!

  • I really love this band because of their style. it's very unusual

  • Classic tune from a great LP.

  • Wow, I cant believe I have found this.Very nice thankyou. :)

  • They were way ahead of their time. The song lyrics match Today's day and age.

  • It's one of my favourite albums of my group number two (after "The Beatles"). A agree the album was underrated. Thanx for this video!

  • They really tought outside the box... Dang this is brilliant!

  • Believe it or not, this is the song that got me interested in 10cc. Very creative, entertaining, and unusual. The speech, the speeded up voice, etc. Funny too. "Everyones going to be free, but they'll have to agree to be free....".

  • The voice wasnt speeded up though! They could do 'cartoon' voices and such: "C'mon Pluto!" on Life is a Minestrone for example!

  • Chilling and funny song, as were several from these four. One word: "supergroup".

  • *rock legends*

  • great band,rocl legends.

  • Love this group.

  • I loved how 10cc couple incorporate SO many different styles into one 3:00 song. "How Dare You" definately had it's share of experimentations. Just listen to this and "Iceberg". How do you even begin to write songs like these? It's my fave 10cc LP though.

  • I wonder if Ween listened to them

  • I wonder if 10cc listened to Frank Zappa?

  • i think i have this song on one of my 10cc vinyls, but it sounded very diffrent.

  • Lol what an idiot cloth ears

  • lol...sir you are clearly autistic.

  • Au contraire ma petite cloth eared Coldplay fan (though I think that's a case of repetition, the latter already implying the former he he)

No offence mate, havin' a wee laugh.

  • Aye none take, and since we're havin a piss, I know someone with the Decemberists in their playlist isn't having a go at my expense. LOL

    Cheers man.

  • I had this album and "Sheet Music" too

  • 1st question: What kind of drugs were these guys on.

2nd question: Where can I get these drugs that they were on.

  • like this song..!

  • Oh! Those memories! It's a great song! I think 10cc is one of the greatestand in the world.

  • Isn't memory wonderful?

You don't hear a song for 30 years.

Yet the phrases still come back to you, in your head, before you hear them, audio.

"Elapsus resurgam. When I fall I shall rise."

    Marvellous song.

  • Does anyone see the parallel to whats happening in the Bush Regime or the End of America?

  • I don't think that 10cc were the same when Kevin and Lol left. It was a lot the same with Supertramp, they weren't the same when Roger Hodson left.

  • I agree - but there were still a few good songs in their twilight years - for both group's. But atthe same time - late seventies/ early eighties was such a time of change for music - maybe the writing was on the wall anyways.

  • To our rally come along

    come along to our rally

    To our rally come along

  • 10 CC is forever immortal,these 4 guys are genius !

  • Brilliant, cynical view of the business world and how it'll probably be the author of its own demise!!

  • There are even more obscure 10cc, How about"You got a Cold" same album?

  • "You've got a cold" is from the "Deceptive Bends" album, the first album after Lol & Kevin left.

  • What about " I bought a flat guitar tutor :-)

  • The meaning of the lyrics of that track go over a lot of people's heads! Pure genius.

  • I wish I had the musical know how to identifty how the notes sound, to really understand the song :-(

  • Just looked at your home page Magnolia and noticed that you have no favourites. I love looking at other peoples musical tastes and sometime pinching their favourites :-)

  • I refer you to the AnnieOakley53 channel!

  • I refer you to the AnnieOakley53 channel!

  • Filsgreen, I have a bunch of 10cc videos (in fact thats all I have) although have recently had to remove some due to copyright issues. I hope you have a look at them. Unfortunately I don't have "You've Got a Cold" or "I Brought a Flat Guitar Teacher" but there's lots of other rare promos or live footage.

  • Dear Annie,

I would be intensely interested in seeing your 'bunch of 10CC videos"--sadly, I have a pitiful THREE. I have 80 vids posted under the name "Noisypies"..perhaps a trade off in entertainment? It's your call--and thanks for your consideration,

    Nicole

  • You can compair 10cc with Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh en Mondriaan working on one picture... excellent... (Hans, Netherlands)

  • Pure freakin' genius, check out the "Englishman in New York" Video

  • WOW!!! 10cc is my heroes.Best band ever.

  • Their "How Dare You" album is on my top 10 albums I'd have on a deserted island. :)

  • Sorry I gave it a thumbs down when it should have been a big thumbs up!

  • Yeah, Godley had a great voice. His competition is Steve Perry from Journey and Burton Cummings of The Guess Who...

  • This comes from 'How Dare You' one of the weirdest albums ever - check out 'don't hang up', which has the strangest, most ambiguous lyrics I can think of "We had

    Some honeymoon on itchy bedding

Scum buzzing round your busy body

    Dumb waiters waiting sweating straining

    All mass-debating my woman,"

  • Yes, they were the natural inheritors of The Beatles' mantle. Four great artists, each with his own special contribution to make. Extra special credit to Kevin Godley though, as he has the best voice in pop music.

  • This is a tall statement, and I love all music from the 20's to the 80's.

The 4 albums these 4 guys put out were the most creative music by 4 of the most talented performers music has ever seen. I cried when they broke up. It wasn't the same when Kevin and Lol left.

  • the cover of the album was fabulous, so much detail and story in the pictures. i used to stare at it for ages when i was a kid and i loved this song the most.

  • Your right, it was one of the most underrated albums of the seventies, I have it :D
