Wow, quite an impressive feat of bite strength! those bumpers are made from some pretty tough material.. i would have have had a hard time believing this if I didn't see it. dog probably damaged its teeth in the process, though.

The dog also exhibits quite a strong prey drive also.

Personally I think the dogs were just board. I mean being stuck at a animal shelter (or where ever they were) all day isn't exactly fun.

That could be, but then there would be no TV show "Cops" or many other shows, as well as thousands of news items involving dashboard cams. Perhaps the tape was released intentionally, or they were granted permission. It is also possible that the tape was copied by someone in the car fleet department that is not an officer, perhaps a mechanic uploaded it. Thanks for the comment and for having watched too. What is happening here is not the dogs fault. It is the careless owners fault. I am sorry you and another got bit. I blame the owners for a lot of dog attacks. People get dogs and leave them alone constantly in yards or tied up 24/7. Dogs need attention and exercise. People need to start the training of dogs when they are puppies. Most people get puppies cause they are so cute, become adult dogs and then neglect them. I know i would raise hell if i was chained up 24/7.

@MrMarkDrive11 There is a great deal of psychotic behavior bred into pit bulls. Not all pit bulls are nuts, but a big pecentage are and the vid is a dog with such behavior.

I didn't get a serious injury being attacked, but that dog had some sort of crazed hatred toward me . I never did anything to provoke it , just in a place where it momentarily got from the owner. I don't blame the owner for neglect, just stupidity he kept a psycho dog.

Your experience is not unusual, but it is generally from poor training. We have a close friend who has three Pitbulls, and all of them are darling couch potatoes. They don't snarl, and are as gentle as a golden retriever. It really depends on the owner, or at least usually. But, like people, there are insane ones. Very true. It seems that a lot off idiots buy Pitbulls just to try and make them tough, a very bad idea since they are bred to be tough, and fighting dogs. It takes a very sensitive and loving owner to manage these breeds successfully, and create a loyal pet with normal behavioral patterns. The breed is particularly aggressive and not for most people.
