I live in holland, where it is legal to smoke the herb. But sometimes I buy from a dealer because I actually have to take a 20 minute train ride to get to the nearest coffeeshop (although the whole dealer world here is probably different, atleast from the buyer's perspective that is)

Many people don't want it legalized because they've experienced what I experience on a regular basis. People tend to get high, fuck up, then blame it on the fact that they were high. It would save pot users billions of dollars a year not buying it from street dealers who are taking advantage of the assumed risk in that market. When I became a medical user and started growing my own I didn't use more, I just saved thousands of dollars every year not buying it. Ive been spending most of that on ordinary household purchases locally. That Money returned to the economy because I can grow pot. Think what will happen when millions of other pot smokers are allowed to.

I live in holland, where it is legal to smoke the herb. But sometimes I buy from a dealer because I actually have to take a 20 minute train ride to get to the nearest coffeeshop (although the whole dealer world here is probably different, atleast from the buyer's perspective that is)

I strongly believe that weed offenders, or any type of drug offender does not deserve to be in the same prison block of all the messed up killers/sadist/convicts. Alot of good people go into prison over drugs and end up turning into a ruthless prick because of hardened prison life and the people they had to survive through. Seperate prison structures for drug offenders and non-violent criminals, they need more of it.

Many people don't want it legalized because they've experienced what I experience on a regular basis. People tend to get high, fuck up, then blame it on the fact that they were high. Thus subconsciously giving us a bad feeling about weed, even though it's not the plants fault. Same way people cheat on their spouse, yet blame it on alcohol, except with weed they use this scapegoat for every problem. Too bad they don't realize keeping it illegal doesn't stop people from smoking anyway.

legalization will result in the holland effect. an increase increase for 5-10 years before it drops back down to before. also the population using hard drugs will decrease immediately and the population addicted to hard drugs will age and eventually die rendering a war on legitimate hard drugs useless. harm reduction leads to eradication by choice. holland and many other EU countries have successfully done it, so i think we should gain a little wisdom.
