when doing a cover, it isnt always necessary to use the lyrics exactly how the original did. he usually makes his covers unique in the way that he plays them so why cant the lyrics be unique as well. dont change the whole song but be original as you can without fucking it up

@scabtaker True. The trouble is nostalgia is a MASSIVE part of why we like music, so often people can't ehar a cover for its own sake unless it exactly mimics the original. I might not always like his capo style, but Orto definitely makes these songs his own, which is what sets him apart as a real musician rather than a mimic. See Tiffany Page's covers for more examples ofmusicianship and tribute rather than imitation.
